One major thing that made therapy more productive for me was finally growing up to an age were the therapists were my age. Huge difference compared to going to therapy as a kid. It made me feel like speaking to a colleague rather than an authority figure
ohhh as a queer person who has grown up in a conservative churches I found the “sweet” adjective a bit odd. So happy for the couple, yet unsure what language I’d use to describe them - definitely see you though
The affordability of Therapy is something I've seen alot but I wish there was more talk about Pro-Bono services or how to ask a therapist about different pricing options for someone who is struggling with money
Yeeeees. $250 * 4 sessions = $1000 and that’s def not easy for ppl already struggling to make rent / get food needs met. 💔🌊 appreciated insight on how therapists may not get a lot of money from insurance companies, also-I believe there can be more restrictions thru insurance companies
