It’s sucks that young had to be subjected to that BS. But, RUclips is a great place to inform potential buyers of these shady practices and to hold dealers accountable 👍
Doing good so far man. Appreciate the info. Looking to get 2 of these one for me and one for the wife so any money saving tips are greatly appreciated lol. I subscribed also and wish you the best of luck. Now to go watch the rest of your videos! Lol
I subscribed, and I hope your RUclips channel grows. I had the same experience when I bought my ‘23 cf moto zforce 950 ho ex. I spent like 3.5 hrs in the dealer and the “sale price” definitely wasn’t the out the door price. It was about 4 k more. Still below Original MSRP but I still feel like I could have negotiated a little better.
Thanks for sharing. The dealer has a well-planned agenda. The more we know before we talk with them the better deal we get. The old saying, "buyer beware". It's so true!
Great info in this vid.... Just as bad as a visit to a car stealership... Best wishes on the warranty package... I bought an extended warranty for my Honda.. I got a flat tire and they gave me a huge hassle on a simple repair within 2 weeks of initial purchase... I exercised the FL statute to cancel the total extended warranty plus tire/wheel package and got a full refund of the warranty package within 60 days of issuance... The dealer was pissed cause I wouldn't back down.. He lost 1000's in warranty commission because they gave me a hard time on a simple flat tire repair...
Got mine in Ride Now in Vegas. Yeah. My out the door was somewhere around 22K + the service thing you got too. Shipping wasnt as much, but they added this 500 dollar battery-for-life thing and like you, they'd rather take the 500 off the price of the car than lose that. And the assembly was cheaper (but I could assemble this thing myself in a day... sheesh!) Its like an ebay seller charging 50 for shipping and 3 for the item to duck the ebay percentage. So it wasn't as cheap as you. I wish I had been able to buy from someone... anyone else. You dont make friends with your customers this way and I hear its the same if not worse with new car dealers. May they all go bankrupt. Especially Ride Now because they let Polaris force them to get rid of the entire Segway lineup except the Villain. I mean, even scooters. Polaris is scared of Segway apparently, and they used their muscle. At least in the end it was a cheap car and if I ever buy a more expensive car I'll have been educated by the bad experience. My advice to Segway is ... Dump the shady big $ dealers and stick with smaller shops and make the experience easy and not a 100% guarantee of buyers remorse EVEN IF YOU LOVE THE CAR.
Buying is a painful experience in the showroom. I recommend making the deal with their web specialist. Get the total out the door commitment and stick with it when you arrive. You'll be a much happier customer.
Went to the closest RideNow Powersports where the advertised price was $13,999 for a 2023 64". Sales Manager comes out with an OTD of $21,500. I laughed in his face and said "I guess you have to try" 🤣 So he goes back and comes out again and says $18,500 OTD. I Shook my head and left. Called another RideNow 200 miles away and told him I'll bring a Bank Check for $15,500 and you make the paperwork back into that. So I got one for $15,500 OTD but on the paperwork the price before taxes, freight, assembly and fees was $11,234.
So I work at a powersports sports dealership. We sell segway. The price we paid for the villian 64 is $16,200. MSRP is $19,999. Currently has a $2,000 rebate.
I got a 2023 Villain WX10 72" for $14,000 from a lady who won it at a casino drawing, had no interest in owning a side-by-side, and simply wanted to cash out. So far, I love this machine. Glad I didn't have to deal with the usual "car" dealership kind of BS.
Not sure if it's still there but it's been one online for Ridenow Chandler for 13k. I've been thinking about it but i don't want all the BS they throw at you. I'll most likely buy a used Polaris or CanAm. Also on a sidenote, I'm assuming these are similar to buying a regular vehicle so it's probably a way to get the same extended service contract for much cheaper from an outside source.
As I explained in the video, the easiest way to make the purchase is to contact the web sales staff, talk on the phone, & get an out the door quote emailed to you. When you go to pick up the machine make sure you have the money & insist on closing ASAP. Accept no delay or BS!
hi where did you get a spare tire and rim.? what size are you using? I have just started to call around as Dealers do not know much on segway. one dealer said Over $500 just for spare. ?
I don't have a spare yet. Have a good repair kit with plugs & a Dewalt battery power compressor. My local dealer quoted me $479 + tax just for a matching rim. Everyone says it doesn't need to match & to buy a cheap rim. I'm thinking about it. My 72" Segway Villain SX10 WX has the same size tire/wheel on all 4 corners: 30×10-R14 CST Stag 8-ply tires Wheel Anti drop aluminum rim (14×6.5J) Bolt pattern 4/110 Offset wheels that are 5+2 Torque 74-88-foot pounds Let me know if you find a deal on a matching bead lock OEM wheel.
@@DesertVillain HI thanks for getting back to me on tires and things. I am still looking into tires. I am getting the Villain street legal now and will be looking into tires with a DOT on them. I might be looking at SUV tires if need be. I have not look into reg rims that other companies have . but now you said Bolt is 4/110 is a good start. I have to say i think that 3 months ago tire prices where down. I think they are going really high not really sure on that yet ..??? but I am looking to go places in Jan of 2025 to Quartside AZ to the RTR and will be looking to meet others to ride with on trails once i get time to go out there.
#1... Tell the sales guy if he makes you wait for more than 15 minutes alone, you're walking out... They leave you alone for more than 15 min.. Walk out
Call these dealerships out. Save people time. I give a dealership one chance to make a deal. There are plenty of people to sell you what you're looking for. Plus, for your the customer. You have the $. Also , Segway wants you to have a good exspance. They are the new kid on the block. They don't need bad press.
That GPS is not as useful as I expected. Of course, you can get around its limited functionality with very inexpensive add-ons like a wireless keyboard.

Great content, just started looking at the Segway Brand. Will be watching other videos you post for more info. 👍
More video coming soon. Getting over the flu. :-(

Still to new to know if I wasted my money.

@@Adam-om9hu That's fine but don't advertise a car for $14k and then add $8k to actually take it home.

Wow, looks like fun. I think I may have to get one soon!
I've been an adrenalin junkie since I was a child. This is a great fix!
All dealerships do this.....not just Segway.
I usually buy used for a better deal, and so I don't directly support their behavior.

This is the way so many dealerships do business. Most of us don't like it. If you know in advance what you are walking into, then you can be prepared.
car dealers , powersports dealers both are croooooks!

HI Do not buy the Segway tablet will not work it need Wifi or Hotspot..

✅
Ride Now is Ride Now, they are all the same owner with crooks running the stores.
Love the Villain nor the sales staff
@@DesertVillain You just have to walk, they can't abuse you unless you let them.
They want the sale more than you want the purchase.
