Thanks for putting our assets to such good use Maverick! We have more assets in the works, also additional packs for the redwoods.
Coole Assets habt ihr da gemacht. Weiter so!
Crime1207 I understand what you are saying, but you can't be that stupid you think everybody understands the shitty German language... (Which I use myself btw)
what did he say
Thijmen die von MAWI sind Wuppertaler, deswegen auf Deutsch.
please maverick, try something with the rock pack. i love rocks.
architect / 3d artist here been tinkering and working in 3d for about 10 years now.
been following your work for a while now and i gotta say major kudos to you sir,
keep up the good work.
Even if people talk crap and say you re only assembling assets and not creating them, to those people i i say
true but level design is a form of art on its own and you sir are a true artist.
Keep it up.
This !
Words!!!! Being an enviromental artist is a huge deal and why it's a seperate carrer than a 3d artist.
This always looks so easy and when you try it you fail hard
that's why I code :P
patryk11258 coding can be so frustrating it's making me suicidal xD
I tried coding one time, with no engine, i was able to just barley make a blue cone slide and jump on a blue grid....took me 4 days......4 DAYS
patryk11258 haha why would you code, bp is far easier, as long as you can read it decently and understand it.
If you're trying to get into a AAA studio, BP can only take you so far. It doesn't hurt to know how to code.
1. Download Unreal Engine 4
2. Download Blender and spend hours to create a single leaf
3. ...
4. Create a world
@hossein ogbbaii the unreal engine marketplace my boy, you can find a bunch of environmental and forest assets for free.
hossein ogbbaii definitely upgrade your wifi or something when you can cause that’s bad especially for downloading assets
@hossein ogbbaii Im looking at 40 free downloaded projects I have. Unreal engine has variation of projects with grass and other assets. U gotta do the research. U dont even have to download epic launcher to just look at their marketplace. Go on Google and look that way and see. Then upgrade your internet when you can.
hossein ogbbaii I’d recommend downloading Quixel Bridge and downloading Megascan assets from there. They’ve got a huge library filled with everything you could ever want except for trees. Just install the plugin to export to unreal and you’re set. It’s completely free too.
:D:D
I can feel that I've been there already. Such green and calming. The song just did amplify the feeling. Great job there.
Always great as expected ;-)
:) 😉😉
Nice video ,I can smell the trees from the screen ; You make awesome resolution in your scene .
I've been following you a long time.. Watched almost all your video.. Your compositions are great...keep growing man... I thino you should start some tutorial series.. Help others too🙂🙂
Another awesome vid Maverick! Thanks for putting in the World Machine part, such a beautiful workflow.
Is this the new version of paint?xD
So far I think this is one of your best levels! It´s amazing to see what an artist can achieve with the right set of tools.
The dos2 music theme makes this so much more satisfying to watch!
Wow, my life... this came suggested and I am completely blown on your work, Huge fan forever.
Beautiful! I go to a school in a redwood forest and this looks pretty darn close!
Uniq
I want to smash my head throug the screen to get in there :D
true
If the next elder scrolls game approaches anything similar to this, I will die happy. Well done!
I really wish my laptop was strong enough to support all of this so i can learn to make levels like this. This is just straight up art and I absolutely love it
damn man. that looks absolutly amazing.
Complimenti, sei un vero artista digitale!
look like the Forest map in Battlefront... Nice job dude!!
Just astonishing, keep at it
It's a great day when you make a new video. Just love them. I map in Dark Radiant for The Dark Mod, and I'd kill to have the tools available to you in Unreal 4. More please.
man this is so good ! i am totally inspired! thanks for sharing
Hey Maverick another amazing design as always! Have you ever thought of making tutorials say on RUclips or even Lynda? I would definitely watch them!
This video alone made me switch from Unity to Unreal
@Jean-Paul Teitu II Not nearly as simply, no. You could, but it's near impossible.
unreal engine got some neat asset packs and the content created for UE is mostly centered around realism so I'd say it's definetely easier to get starting doing realism stuff and realistic rendering in UE4. There is just more out of the box that you can use.
Not bad at all :P We are the developers of a game by the name of Shoot Mangler. The BETA will be released after the end of this month! But that's what we at least hope, our release might not happen, but that's not going to be true!
Beautiful and peaceful ❣️
This is so awesome !!! Keep up the good work !
Wow...just Wow. I subscribed you 1 year ago...and not only you skills a so much better than before...youare near 80k subs....wow ! Keep it up! I Wish you 1Million subscribers !
OMG... So beautiful...
It's just marvelous.
you are the 1 one i see that can simulate the real feeling
msot 3d engine projects have a plasic unreal feeling it does not feel and look realistic but you broke that amazing
I love your work!!! I want to buy the redwood to make my video art, but I really confuse after 3:40, do you have a tuto to teach how to use post process , because I am interested at making movie in ue4....?
Hi. Thank you so much for your videos. Shows a level designer at the highest artistic level. Work with lighting is amazing. You do a great master.
Are you self-taught? You’re simply amazing! You paint everything so perfectly.
upload more man! you always inspire me to hop on unreal and see what I can do (it's nowhere near what you have) but either way it looks great
also is it possible we could see your pc specs?
Maverick please, I never understood how to use the landscape material and how to add new in unreal engine for colour the landscape... can you tell me how ?
P.S. you're amazing
LamiX watch some tutorials and don't waste your time😅
1) Create a new material 2) Add LandscapeTextureCoords node 3) Add all the material maps you want 4) Connect the dots 5) Add the Material to your landscape and start painting.
Vanic what's up with LandcapeLayerBlend? Cause that's where you are connecting the dots (with your texture and normal maps)
Layer blend is just a mask so you can have smooth transitions from one texture to another or paint on texture on top of another.
Men, this is so inspiringly, great work.
incredible work bro. Masterpiece
nice, i am pretty sure the isle also used everything you used, not saying you copied them or anything, its just all the plants, atmosphere, rivers, and rocks look the exact same XD
So cool man...very impressive. How long did this take you? And could you use this to dev a game or is this strictly for cinematics? Keep up the Great work.
Wow all of your speed creations are amazing I wish I could make things like this
3:40
Me: I will sure try to make this
My PC: Don't even look at me😡
truly masterpiece
Looks even better than Battlefront
Varga Dániel now thats a stretch it looks good but not as good as battlefront as that took a long time to build by a team whereas this is done by one person is a shorter time period
Rocksmith Pdl Some shots in the vid at least look equally as good in my opinion. Allthough you are right, hard to surpass battlefront
Очень красиво. Спасибо.
I wonder if the Amiga OS from 1985 had as much resource thrown at it as Windows to this day THIS is how fast you could use unreal engine in real time.
Amazing!
wow me encanto 😍😍 tío sigue así eres un crack, saludos✋
Good for hunting simulator. I want a hunting simulator in forests like this.
Wow, just wow!! How long did it take you to create this overall?
Why does this looks better than the most current games?
Are you using dynamic lighting, or static lighting? I have always wondered which one to use for environments.
Congratz… very beautiful. Just a question if I may: did you do by yourself the macro on World Machine or did you purchased it?
Incredible.
Nice, getting battlefront vibes
Again I'm like:
"Be ye Mountains?"
and they say
"Nay, We're but Hills!"
*Rock*
I think Maverick is smart
its beautiful
Sometimes I winder if Maverick will just take some video of the real world just to see if we can tell the difference
Amazing! The statues you always put in really add a nice mysterious effect, did you make them yourself or are they buyable assets? If so, do you have a link?
u have been sick for the longest time I can remember. Just so sick. On question, how do you prepare your assets like in the post-apolcalypes scenes?
Very nice as usual.
I have a question (Note that I know next to nothing in terms of level designing, game creation, optimizarion and all that). Are these designs playable? Could these worlds be in a game without causing any lag or crash problems? I guess my question is, are these well optimized for a game?
Anyway, absolutly love your content, thank you for your hard work, everything you do is amazing :)
eres un artista .. Gracias por estos videos
Did you make any chances to the assets settings or to the assets themselves? They seem to have a fair amount of overdraw.
wow...
you are genius dude
i love this stuff. i think you should do some sort of sewer-esque thing next. something dank, underground, and dark, yknow?
wonderfull i hope to be like you one day
Dude is awesome!
Beautiful😃 love your work:)
I can´t find that Landscape material with all those different materials to paint with... I just get 4 diffent ones....what about the rest?!.... Did you use a custom made one?.... Would relly appreciate if you would answer :)
Cheers Mate!
Unreal engine hire this person
This is insane 😍
What did you setup at 1:46 to have those green layers come in with vegetation already?
Nevermind, realized it was from that plant layer. Does that come setup within the Redwood Forest pack?
man did you get the info layers under his master material, can you type name of the master material he assigned, i cant figure it out although i followed step by step
What specs do you recommend for a computer in order to make these kinds of maps? I’m looking to get into this and want to buy a new computer
Amazing job ! Could you make some exotic/oriental landscape next time ? (I would love to see Elsweyr on UE4, created by your hands)
Love your work!
DOS2 music? Lovely
Perfection
Maverick Plz make a tutorial i have Always watched your videos and wondered how you do This and that so Plz make a scene like usual but tell us how you do IT (dont make IT a speed build)
Can anyone explain what he did to create all the small foliage in an insanely short period of time. Amazing stuff, i don't think I'll ever be this good.
add some image grain,lens dirt,dirt particles,soft egde dof.tonemapping and more contrast .
Great job what gpu are you using?
What pc are you using as I’m looking to buy one that can handle ue4 dev very powerfully but I’m not sure what to buy
1:23 what master material did you assign to the landscape that had all the nodes under it , I have the Redwood Forrest installed but still i am bummed out.
Should be called Redwood_Landscape or something like that. Ground/Terrain are other keywords. Look at the folder structure also. Make sure it is the Material Instance. Not the material Master.
just perfect !
OMFG
You could make an entire game. Why not. Go out there and do it!
The forest looks like endor in star wars battlefront
Damn I wish I got a high pc and learn thing like this
Awesome
I love what Unreal can do graphically but everyone says it's a lot harder to learn than Unity and I'm struggling enough with Unity.
You should have used the main theme from "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" as the backgeound music in this video.
Coming from a guy who lives in the redwoods i can say this is extremely close to the real thing. The only things not 100% are the canopy of the trees, and the fog. Its a lot darker walking through because the trees are tall and close together, and the fog is a bit whiter, but damn this is cool good work dude.
Those trees look exactly what they used in Ark :O but oh well Ark was made with UE so that's a little less surprising.
Having played around with the Bethesda Creation Engine. I thought I would get Unreal Engine and have a go at making my own game. Looks a bit more complicated then I had anticipated.
What kind of specs do you have? that seems like it would be pretty taxing to run
You should make a videogame, or live wallpapers :) Big Love bro!
