- This room is so large it is like renting an apartment! A full room tour of the 2 Bedroom Grand Suite 8414 on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas located on the 8th floor in the very aft (back) of the ship. This expansive stateroom features an interior bedroom with private bath, a master bedroom with upgraded bathroom, and a full living room/entertainment space! This is really 3 cabins in one!
If you are looking at traveling with family or a group that wants to stay together, the 2 Bedroom Grand Suite is a pricey but amazing option!
The wooden bar on the wall is to rest the bunk bed when it is down.
Huh, that makes a lot of sense! I read that and went "of coruse!". I am just so used to using the vanity desk ledge for storage, I assumed that is what the ledge there was for too. Thank you and learned something new!

Thanks Rusty! I was just thinking of this video this weekend as the room tour I did is the one directly above this suite looking into their balconies. Great room for folks with larger families.

Yes, if you are sensitive to the motion of the ocean, low and in the middle is the place to be!
Thanks for the review. It is a great room. We have stayed in that exact room also.only down side was when we stayed in there we didn’t have a tv in the second bedroom
No TV in the second bedroom?? For some, that would be a huge deal breaker! Did they bring one in for you?
@@TheWeekendCruiser no, there was no hook up either. We didn’t know that until we boarded. Lol. It was fine though. We still had a great time.

Great video. We are sailing soon we have two two bedroom units next to each other. We are actually in 8414. My question is do the wall panels between the two balconies open like they do on regular balcony rooms.
That sounds like an awesome vacation! I went back and looked at the video of the balcony, from what I can tell, it does not open. I could be wrong and check with stateroom attendant but the fixed bar at the bottom has me thinking you cannot open them.
Do you have a video talking about the perks of being in a suite? I am going to look but if you don't can you make one please!

That shelf looks like it has something to do with the bunk. I thought I caught a glimpse in the mirror of one on the opposite side as well.
Hey RieRie, that is the feedback I have gotten a few times on this video. I think that is probably correct, extra support when the bunk beds or down.
The railing in the front bedroom might have something to do with the upper birth?
Hey Todd, that is what someone else mentioned. Adds extra support for the bunk beds when they pull down. Makes sense to me just never thought about it I guess.
Do the bunks rest on that bar on the wall? I didn’t notice if it was on both sides.

I would think the rooms would be called, Primary and Secondary.
Hey Casey, that would make a lot of sense.... now that I think about it, I remember hearing that "Master" was no longer correct a few years ago. I hope I did not misspeak in the video!!
Why always freedom of the seas
Hey Robert, here is a link to my first video I ever did on why I love a weekend cruise. The Freedom of the Seas is currently operating 3 night, weekend sailings, out of Port Miami which is close to my house. By taking weekend vacations, I do not have to use vacation time as I still work full time.

Back the camera up. Your close to everything. You can't gage how big or small stuff is, your too close. But a good video.

Not impressed with the decor at all. Looks pretty cheap and dated, like a Motel 6. Doesn’t look like a Grand Suite to me. More space, yes, but that’s about it.
Don't disagree! I do love the space but would also love another color of wood and for it not to be on the entire wall.
