During the next Boruto story, all that I can hope, is that he would train his Karma, not only to get stronger, but also to get rid of the ghost of Momoshiki, forever wiping out his soul, mind and possession, leaving the Karma itself fully cleansed and to be used as a weapon, much like Kawaki's own Karma.
Momoshiki's made it difficult for that to happen, Kurama's prospective is understandable due to how the humans viewed him. Momo on the otherhand is just evil for the sake of it, and due to his Otsutsuki will being pretty much near indomitable. However, I would love if Boruto somehow found a way to change him for the better even if others see it as a plot hole to the story.
I still love Kawaki and his ideology actually makes sense. Try thinking from his perspective. he just saw his biggest fear almost come true and stopped it. realizing that the only way to truly protect naruto is to take out Momoshiki. from what he has been told and what he knows, naruto is defenseless without the tailed beast inside him and cant protect himself against Borushiki. everyone is saying he is selfish, but he is doing all this for Naruto.
Unpopular oppinion : Kawaki is not mad and is not entierly wrong to think that boruto, a S level threat thanks to Momoshiki, must be dealt with a way or another. He is just wrong to think that killing is the right way. Also in this particular fight : it was clearly implied that boruto was on the verge of being definitly possessed by momoshiki, so he was right to act. Also, I do not agree that Momoshiki is gonna be the new Kurama, I mean, Otsutsuki are basicaly the worst people in the universe, they despise all that's not otsutsuki. AND their goal is to wipe out entire planet to grow stronger... Whereas Kyubi was seen as a natural disaster or a godish punishment. Kurama had not the very very wrong and twisted mind Momoshiki is displaying... So I do not expect Momoshiki to become an ally or anything else than evil.

From his point of view, it is the best scenario since no one would suffer for Boruto's death. And running from the 5 villages is not easy either, so it makes sens, that any means to counter it, is employed.
the time skip wont happen yet for the anime because they still need to cover the manga of when edia still has to visit the hidden leaf and code still needs his limiters off and then edia and daemon joins the hidden leaf and then kawiki goes nuts and edia does the history swap... I think they ended it like that because they dont know when boruto anime will be back and doesnt want to keep making filler episodes that no one likes.

The animation won't stay crisp though, unless they break the new anime into cours like anime have been doing recently. Boruto only gets 2 chapters a month max, whenever it's a double release. So the anime will keep catching up to the manga.
This might be tough love to read but… look I’ve been around the anime block for over 2 decades and I’ll be honest, the anime ended so abruptly is a sign that it might not be returning for a long time if not ever. Look I know they said 3-6 months but… there still no definitive return date. I’ve seen with anime like Promised Neverland, Dragon Ball Super, Akame Ga Kill, Claymore, ReLife, the list goes on. So all I’m saying is; as a Boruto fan myself don’t get your hopes up too high for this anime returning guys. The whole “production issues” and “scheduling issues” is just surface level. There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. A lot of the animation was subpar, and it’s popularity is suffering in both Japan and across the world. I don’t think there will be any changes in the manga tho, will continue to be a monthly release.

Momoshiki can lend Boruto his power and Boruto gives momoshiki access to his body on commando. Just like with Naruto and Kurama. They bond, maybe have similarities etc. Or they have to find a way to get rid of momoshiki. But in timeskip Boruto still had Karma. It could be possible that momoshiki was gone, but due to the restored DNA he still has karma power. Just like with Kawaki when he got New karma, despite isshiki didnt put karma on him
Momoshiki will help him he don't want to let his soul disappear from the living world it will be just like how kurama didn't want to deal with madera well momo will rather help then have his soul unanchored to the living world

I am 17, I watched Both seasons with all fillers 3 times for like 2 years.
