Very interesting product for those who can't afford high-end "Setup 1" level but want to get as close as possible as far as a lower budget permits. With explanation of limitations involved. This could well be good enough for me for a DAC upgrade. Thanks!
I bought the Spring 3 level 2 a couple of months ago and can’t recommend it enough. Connected to my Auralic G2.1 in AES/EBU mode I rediscover all my music as I never heard it, even back in the analog days. Just incredible for the price of this DAC (but of course the Auralic streamer is key in achieving this level of performance).

You find my review of the Venus II here: ruclips.net/video/BB8jLtF0Gjg/видео.html and of the Terminator Plus here: ruclips.net/video/6xS8_iWwtCs/видео.html. I have not reviewed the Terminator II.
From the front panel it looks quite similar as another chinese brand Denafrips. So i quite doubt they come from same workshop. Unfortunately very very few people in China know Denafrips and Jay's audio, they may build good components but there's almost no chance to take a look locally with my own eyes.
The front might have come from the same workshop, the electronics is very different. I cant's comment on the Chinese situation, I have never been there.
Hello Mr. Beekhuyzen. Many thanks for your interesting videos. 👍👍 You now a network streamer like the Cocktail Audio X45 Pro with a HDMI (eARC) interface to insert the HDMI TV output? The reason ist that i will perform a setup with less HiFi devices possible: TV + music server/streamer + aktive laoudspeekers (+ subwoofer). You now if the Cocktail Audio X45 Pro HDMI interface is a pure I2S interface or even a HDMI input interface to connect HDMI TV output? TIA
Excellent review Hans. Very professional presentation.
Thanks!

Thank you for covering their equipment! I was on their site and was curious about their quality.
No problem!
Thanks very much for your work sir!
My pleasure entirely
This one caught my attention from the recent 6moons review. Very compelling piece, thanks for comparing with the DAVE.
Glad you liked it!

Great video as always. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review. Looks like Al boards are available separately. I would build one. 🎉
Really.
I'll try. The parts are available
So many nice R2R DACs now! Holo Spring 3 or this? Decisions, decisions!!

Hello Hans would you place the performance of this dac more between a Pontus II and Venus II, or between Venus II and a Terminator II?
My question exactly. Thank you.

Not by head.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Thank you.
I can only dream of owning a Nakamichi T100!
They stopped making them decennia ago.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel any suggestions on where to find one?
Can It be Connected to a power amp?
Yes, the DAC has a volume control and outputs sufficient voltage to drive a power amp.
