So, reminds me of daddy and mommy who went home to Jesus at ages 91 and 88. Our kinfolk hails from eastern Kentucky. Grandpa could make the fiddle and banjo dance! ❤️😊
Born & raised in LA in the 50's....but my mom was from KY. This music is in my soul. (As are the bagpipes.) She hated country music....reminded her of being poor, but NOT me....I love it. Especially bluegrass.❤
In the Smokys everything is either up or down. Flat is reserved for the hearthstone. Been there chasing a girl. Caught her, I think, maybe the other way around mid last century. A mountain girl is something to be treasured. She could do anything she set her mind to: design, author, write, mother, lover. It was like the Lord had designed and hidden the perfect girl. Her businesses flourished. 60 years was not enough living with her. I wanted everything. But she passed. I had to lay her to her rest up high in the Smokys whence she came. It was like a gift with a time limit. Lord, please let me see her again.

My Daddy was a Bluegrass Musician. He specialized in playing the Banjo, he actually taught himself when he was a young boy. My daddy’s name was “Levi Epperson “ he played music with a lot of well known musicians.. I miss him so much. He passed away in 1992 from cancer. I was looking for some music to remind me of him. I’m so Happy that this was the first video I seen. The Visuals are Amazing… This video definitely reminds me of him, he played alot of these songs. We’re from Virginia. Thank You for such an awesome video. Brings back such sweet memories.
