    Nobody prepares you for the, "But I can't take all of these at once," or "I can't take these on an empty stomach," or the "I don't take any of that at home..." or when you're patient's away from the unit for 3 or 4 hours doing a stress test.
    But the most surprising thing that nobody warns you about is when EVERY SINGLE PATIENT tries to dump the pills in the cup into their hand instead of straight into their mouth, and the pills spill everywhere. After 16 years, this one still gets me.
    Good luck future nurses!

    I keep wondering why professionals (especially in the USA) wear their wrist watch while carrying out clinical procedures. Very poor infection control policy, presumably!

      My gloves usually cover it up. It’s needed to time vitals when you’re checking.

      I usually wipe mine with an alcohol wipe whenever I do a full hand wash

      In my country it isnt allowed, we have pocket watches attached to our shirts

      Is there any scientific research that wristwatches spread infection?

    • @maggiehays2167
      @maggiehays2167 3 года назад +3

      This is incorrect, watches are not infection risks. They are usually necessary for nursing skills.

    Nothing here about what we need to make sure as in allergies, able to swallow, fluid restrictions, etc! I would fail if I did what you did.

      You are so rude !. A person make this video to help us nursing students to pass on our medication check off and you jus criticize the lady!
