    Hello Prof. Farhat! I love your vids coz it so easy to understand. But, I want to ask why did you discounted the note when in fact it was stated in the problem that "Jet does not elect the fair value option for reporting its financial assets".

    why do you convert the amount to future value first, instead of discounting 10k by .680

    I know my comment is late in the game, but that way that you calculated this answer and the answer you came up with is incorrect based on two different platforms. According to the others and the multiple choice answers provided you should be taking 10,000x.680 and then adding the interest $10000x.03x5x.680 to it. The answer is $6,800+$1,020=7820 for the Maxx loan. I am now confused. :(
