@Patoubody Yes, I know. His career started in the 70's with Messina. I guess I was referring to his huge successful years of the 80's. He had so many hits in the 80's. I liked the 70's, 90's, and early 2000s as well, but 80's is in an era all by themselves based on my living through all those generations.
When I first heard this song back in 92' I thought this was awesome, which it still is to this very day for sure...then I heard Garth Brooks' song Standing Outside The Fire when it was released in 93' and thought to myself that it was a good song but that these two songs sound almost exactly alike in the music and style of the songs themselves. Well, unbeknownst to me, Garth and Kenny had a bit of a feud over this whole issue. When I found out about this, I really didn't know what to think about it at the time, but now, I can understand why Kenny Loggins wasn't too pleased. Just glad it all got settled between Kenny and Garth.
