If you do play the game later you should know there are some people that get overexcited and want you to play in a very particular way. You'll need to be a bit strict with spoilers and backseat gaming to get a full and enjoyable experience .

Incredible soundtrack, amazing game. Sometimes silly, dumb, cute, serious... it has all type of emotions and soul in one package. Really, really recommended game. Mostly light hearted but it's a lengthy emotional rollercoaster. I can't forget my first playthrough. Sometimes I laughed my ass off, sometimes I teared up... yep, that's Undertale for you.
The following message is a message that I wrote to copy and paste it anywhere where I want. This is a disclaimer and guide for content creators and people who want to play UNDERTALE. I made it to prevent spoilers. Don’t listen to any advice on how to play the game. Your choices are important and so are your mistakes. If you want a „perfect“ playthrough, you can just play the game again. Also, take your time with reading the dialogue. Just take your time and don’t stress about being entertaining to your viewers. For me seeing the player take it all in is much more enjoyable. I also would recommend looking at the flavor texts and also interacting with a lot of stuff since all of it can give you hints, humorous texts or lore/plot indications like 80% of the time. So just read the dialogue if you are interested in that. Also if you do end up streaming this then maybe don’t have donations actively pop up on stream and then stop paying attention to the game in the middle of reading dialogue. Because that can easily make you miss important stuff or just stuff that people wanted to see you have a good reaction to. Just read them while you aren’t in a cutscene or something like that. Maybe at a save point. Or when you read the rest of the chat. Just wait until the dialogue and the cutscene runs out. Please. Also try to avoid any help or spoilers in your first playthrough. And maybe also on your second playthrough. Unless something something something needing help something something. Also here is some quick advice on what to do when booting up the game for the first time: When you boot up the game it won’t be in fullscreen until you press F4. Though the intro will play immediately upon opening the game and cannot be paused but it can be skipped by pressing a button. And if you do nothing on the title screen for a few seconds either after skipping the intro or letting it play out, the intro will repeat itself. So just boot up the game, set everything up and then wait on the title screen for the intro to repeat and then read what you see. Here is a guide for the „somethings“. DO NOT READ BEFORE HAVING PLAYED YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH! So. You have completed your first playthrough of UNDERTALE. Wait. You did do that right? I mean, the game isn’t over until you see the credits. So you have seen the credits right? Because some people think that the game is already over after Flowey crashes the game or after they restarted the game and think that „this“ is the ending. Okay. So you have played through the game? Good. So. What do you wanna do in your second playthrough? Depending on a certain choice towards the end of the game you may have been told something that you should do. If not, then skip ahead. Anyway, cya at the ending if you are gonna replay the game now. Oh yeah. Also, whatever you do, don’t switch to a new pc without carrying over your save data or something. And don’t pull something stupid like re-installing the game. Even if in most scenarios it won’t matter because the game always remembers everything. The good and the bad. Unless you deliberately delete certain things manually. So uh… Don’t just continue somewhere else. So. You’ve done it. You haven’t killed anyone and completed the game. Welp. Was it worth it? I don’t know if Flowey told you what to do next but if he didn’t then let me do it. You should load your save file. You maybe could’ve been better friends with PAPYRUS and Undyne. And definitely with Dr. Alphys. Maybe that will bring you your „happy ending“. See you after you have encountered the next save point after hearing the word „Frisk“. I would recommend you to backtrack through the entire underground and say goodbye to everyone you can find. Though, if you don’t have the time right now then SAVE and come back later. But don’t exit the underground yet until you have gone back to the place where you first fell down into the underground and started your journey. If you’re gonna talk to everyone this might take 2 hours. 2 hours of reading dialogue and walking from npc to npc. Where each npc has multiple lines of dialogue until it starts looping. Some of it is more important and some of it less. Anyway. That’s it. After this, go get your ending. And take a break. Maybe even go to bed. You deserve it. So you did it. Are you satisfied? You probably are satisfied. Or do you wanna replay the game once more? And maybe find out what happens when you go down a different darker path. „What happens if I kill everyone?“ Do you want to do that? If yes, then go ahead! If no… Maybe just watch someone else do it. If you want to you could even post a reaction video of you reacting to someone else doing a genocide route. And feel free to read the rest of all this now. But if you wanna play it yourself and experience it yourself then you’re in for a ride. This time, just get the Toy Knife in the RUINS and then grind for encounters until you reach LV 20. And always end battles throughout the entire game using the FIGHT button. Everything will be self-explanatory. Just make sure to immediately kill Snowdrake and Lesser Dog in Sowdin Forest. And make sure that you… Cya at the end of the RUINS. „But nobody came.“ Welp. Guess you can’t reach LV 20 after all. Just make sure that you kill everyone before fighting the next major boss. Aka PAPYRUS, Undyne and the others. Minibosses like The canine unit or the Royal Guards 01 and 02 can be fought before „But nobody came.“ shows up. So. See ya at the end of it all. Just wait 10 minutes if you haven’t already. So. You’re back. There are some funny name easter eggs when naming the fallen human. Chara, AAAAAA, Mercy, Murder and Gerson are the only ones that you can’t know beforehand. With the others just enter the names of characters you’ve met into the the name selection screen. PAPYRU works. There is also an easter egg when you start the game with the name „Frisk“. Make sure to play until the end of the RUINS with this name. You will get a cool border as a reward for doing that. (Borders can be changed in the settings menu.) If you really want to scrape at everything in the game then try completing the game again in pacifist and in the judgement hall after hearing sans‘ spiel, go back to your last save point and hear his spiel again. Also in front of the blue mystery door in Snowdin Forest if you walk around in the room with the door for 3 minutes then something will happen. You don’t know where it belongs? Depending on wich one we are talking about it’s either in sans‘ room or in the backdoor of their house. Have fun. Cya right before the ending. So. You are about to leave the underground? You can talk to every single character in the entire underground before leaving so if you haven’t done that then maybe you want to do that now. Most if not all characters have a lot of dialogue before dialogue exhaustion. Just interact with them until their dialogue loops. When ASRIEL appears with the special thanks, try to dodge all of them to unlock the mystery door in Snowdin Forest. That’s about everything I have to say. Maybe check out „What the Internet did to Undertale“ by Super Eyepatch Wolf if you want to. Just as a disclaimer for after you watched it that GLITCHTALE despite it’s popularity has bad writing and was made by someone who supports a child abuser. Also you may also wanna check out „So what was Undertale actually about?“ by Adam Millard. Now go play deltarune. Chapters 1 & 2 are free and available to play now. The rest are still in development and will cost you money. Cya! Or not. Or if you’re interested in reading an extremely well written (but unpopular) UNDERTALE fanfic you can check out the sprite comic „INVERTED FATE“ by Dorked. It has an amazing storyline where all characters are very well written and it feels very much like an UNDERTALE 2 even though it isn’t really that. It also has good sprite designs and very good music. The web comic is hosted on it’s own website with the same name. Please give me criticism and point out issues in my guide! Thank you for your feedback!
If you think this is good, then you should check out someone called "ManOnTheInternet" (I think I got that right-). He made an entire musical of undertale. If possible, you should react to those songs. However, if you were going to react to that, then maybe do the songs 1 by 1 instead of the actual musical. The whole musical is 4 hours long. I would play the game first before reacting to it though.
IMPORTANT: if you play Undertale on stream, your mod team needs to A) have played and pretty thouroughly understand Undertale and B) be very very attentive. both points are important because your mod team needs to be able to effectively block spoilers. Undertale is a very spoiler-heavy game and people are very eager to spoil certain aspects. backseaters are extremely common, especially with first-time players. blind playthroughs are always the best, and in Undertale's case this is even more true. you have been warned!
“Despite everything, it’s still you” is what’s displayed after you look into a mirror while this song plays. So it’s not far off the mark from being a song of contemplation.
It's a wonderful scene but PLEASE do not give any others away. We can all wait until after the first run through, at least. But yes. It's a deeply profound and moving moment.
Undertale is that kind of game that changes you forever. It changed me for the better, and I will forever treasure it in my heart. I'm not crying, you're crying!
I couldn't agree more. It's forever at the top of my favourite games of all time list and will confidently stay there probably for my entire life. Nothing really hits the same as your first blind playthrough of Undertale and the memories you treasure
Dude wtf, why am I crying just by hearing the first notes? I really wish to erase my memory of this game and play it again. What a videogame masterpiece!
If i were to erase this game from my memory, I wouldn't be myself anymore. So many years, the music, fan animations, fan multiverse stuff. So much in my little noggin would go bye bye. What I'm saying is that Undertale has had a big impact in my life and stuck with me since I first saw it I think from Jacksepticeye maybe. Can't remember to well.
dont click read more if you dont wanna be spoiled personally it feels too happy, overwhelmingly happy. all the monsters in the underground are about to be freed, thats amazing right? everything is great! its all fine! none of them understand the events that are about to unfold a few screens later
why are people saying this when it's just wrong? spoilers but I just don't how "sad backstory, you are about to kill or be killed" is everything will be okay
If you do plan to play UNDERTALE, please make sure to keep your chat in order, as the game is notorious for its backseaters and people who spoil the entire game, trying to get you to experience every moment while ignoring your own playstyle and experience. Besides that, it's a phenomenal game that is well worth a play, no matter who you are, and the entire soundtrack conveys its themes amazingly, context or not. Also, fun fact, this OST was the only one that wasn't composed digitally, instead with actual instruments. So glad you're enjoying it.
I think my favorite thing about this type of Undertale OST, is that sometimes you'll get the music's main motif in this very simple style... like at 10:10 where you can just hear it as this simple little music box melody, like something a child could easily plunk out on a piano. there's something nostalgic about the simplicity, and sometimes it almost feels clumsy or stumbling, but it repeats... and that repetition feels so determined. you've been hearing that tune through the whole song, while all these twinkling flutes and warm orchestral elements have come up to fill in the gaps and support the track in all these various ways. I think it very effectively conveys the idea of family, or community, or support... it's the sound of "you are not alone"
This is actually one of my top three songs from Toby Fox. The other two being Savior of the Waking World from Homestuck and Don’t Forget from Deltarune. The reason I place this song in such high regard is that it encompasses everything you experience in the game. Considering the game likes to judge you and how it tends to let you know you can always be better it makes a lot of sense that this one song can comfort me and know it’s all going to be okay and I can just let out my tears and smile.
Undertale is a great game. I didnt really understand the appeal of kickstarter and especially indie games until this one actually came out. As a creative force, Toby fox is literally the american version of Yoko Taro which is right up my and a lot of other people's alleys. The fact he does so much largely on his own has always been impressive.
while spoiling as little as possible, this song plays during a sequence where you the player and the player character come to realize that whether you like it or not, you are basically the person who every character in the game is pinning their hopes on, and it it extremely emotionally overwhelming. I have cried literally every time I play this sequence
Fun fact! I played this song at my wedding, specifically during the part after we kissed and had to slink off to the side to sign the documents with the celebrant and our witnesses before walking down the aisle together. Got my brother to cry too!
@@GOTGames It also helps build context and sequencing of conceptual events of songs to you musically by listening to the whole OST at once in order. It's quite a long time to listen to music as well as possibly comment on them so take your time with getting to it if you need to.
Man, hearing this track again took me back to my first time playing.. Without spoiling anything, this is indeed a song reflecting on a journey's end, of hope persevering even through the worst of times. I have to admit, it got some tears out of me the first time I heard it, and still manages to tug on the heartstrings hearing it now, I'm excited to see how you feel when you encounter it :P
This track has a lot of meaning to me. CW: Cancer This was the track I would listen to to help calm me down as they inserted the IV in me to start my chemotherapy treatment every day. Even with the associations with chemo now, it's still my go to track to calm myself down when I'm getting worked up. I love how gentle and calming the track is and while it feels melancholic at parts, ultimately it swells into a big hopeful section.
Undertale (particularly during a moment when this song plays) is the only piece of media at this point that’s made me cry. The way the game has existed throughout my life and the way I’ve experienced it I feel have been simply …perfect. The emotions I associate with all this- I don’t know. It’s hard to properly put into words. If you do read the comments and if you see this comment, I want you to take it as me basically begging you to play it because it is an experience like no other. Also please put your Undertale playthrough (if you make it) on youtube either as VODs or edited videos because I might miss the streams but I really don’t want to miss seeing you experience it.
undertale is quite possibly the greatest piece of media i have ever experienced. Whether or not you feel as strongly as I did, this is a must play, one of the few that I think absolutely everyone should play, its so beautiful
I love this soundtrack and this song so much. The song Undertale always makes me feel at home and it has a genuine warmth and heart to it that fits the section of the game it gets played in (no spoilers). I would highly recommend listening to Bonetrousle, Battle Against a True Hero, Spider Dance or Death by Glamour. They're all incredible songs in their own right.
A common theme in my life is that whenever I rediscovered undertale it’s usually when I’m going through a big change. I think I’m about to enter a period of my life a bit like that again, I guess it’s time to obsess with undertale again lolol
Oof, not gonna lie, this one hit me right in the nostalgic feels and got me tearing up through the whole song. Without getting into too heavy of spoilers, this song plays at a REALLY emotional part of the game. There’s something that happens while this song is playing that almost instantly alters your perspective going forward and gives you a new perspective for who you are about to fight. Undertale is the masterclass of indie gaming. Phenomenal story, extremely likable characters, phenomenal soundtrack, innovative gameplay fascinating design…it’s hard for me to put a finger on what the game could have done better. Toby Fox really is a remarkable game developer.
This Video already gives me nostalgia, Undertale is a really fun and entertaining game! It really feels like the characters are alive in its own way it’s really amazing, Each ost is all amazing itself and it’s all really catchy and nostalgic, I recommend you play this game! Although if you don’t want to don’t :)
This song makes me cry everytime I hear it, yes, it sounds like a happy song, but the context surrounding the song is absolutely tragic, and my fragile heart can never ignore it. I grew up during the height of Undertale's popularity, and it will always have a very special place in my heart.that m
The song is not just happy. It is extremely bittersweet and you can feel the sadness in the song alongside the happy. Almost all melodies in the song balance from happy to sad and just makes us feel EVERYTHING with greater intensity. It makes the story of the game hit you 100x more in the feels.
it's really cool seeing someone who has pretty much only experienced Undertale through memes to so accurately express what's going on when this song plays. It's a point of comfort, contemplation, and for some characters the most important triumphant moment in their lives
This game and especially this song is a huge comfort for me. My best friend told me about that game and we didn’t know this will be the reason we became best friends and why our relationship got so close. I met her in primary school, she moved at the start of middle school and I got really depressed. Yet again, UNDERTALE helped me to cope and think of her because it makes me remember how we used to speak for hours and hours about the game and how we learnt to draw together because of it. I truly thank that gorgeous game and Toby Fox for everything.
Being someone who survived the dark days of 2018 and 2017 when Undertale fans were waging wars against other communities like Touhou, coming back to this and listening to tracks like "Undertale" reminds me how beautifully constructed this game actually is before the fandom went nuts with it, and that makes me still appreciate the game.
I would love you to react to 'Death by Glamour' from Undertale. Ive heard it described as "The most extra thing that just keeps getting more extra" and "An ongoing panic attack". Its my favorite ost from the game
This track hits different when playing the game. The context of the story and the particular setting where this plays adds so much more weight to how emotional it is (not gonna spoil). I don't generally get emotional easily but when I experienced this for the first time, I genuinely cried. And though not as strong, hearing this still stirs me up a bit nowadays.
The way I always describe this song is… as a hug, most desperately needed. It’s the reassuring parent wrapping their arms around their child before they perform on stage for the first time. It’s the friend embracing you when you need to move away, handing you their phone number. It’s the soldier being held by their father again, so certain they wouldn’t after everything they went through. It’s the song that most embodies the tenderness of a moment shared, when two hearts beat together, and you just… …need to cry.
no matter how many times do i listen to this soundtrack, they always give me the same emotional feelings that i had on the first time listening, i have no word to say about the ost and you really should start playing the game whenever you can, its going to be a long journey
My favorite thing that many others probably didn't even notice is that he had the respect to mute the clicking sounds of the 'like and subscribe' buttons that pop up during the song. Props to you and the editor for keeping it real.
this has always been my favourite track on the ost, its such a standout. its so easy to get lost in it. when this plays in game, there isnt really a lot happening, but it is a very emotionally loaded moment, thanks a lot to how great this track is. every time i hear it im transported back to that moment. its so simple in its construction, but its so immersive and feels so massive. and its the only song to feature an acoustic instrument (all others are synths), making it feel so warm and distinct from the others. ive definitely cried listening to this before lol
I.m.o. Undertale as a game and especially the Song Undertale represents pure empathy and unconditional love for other "human" beings. And thats why I love and appreciate Undertale so much, because I also deeply believe that every human (and other) beings are perfect and lovable as they are and I also strive to always keep this tenderness in my heart and never let anyone or anything take that away from me.
This is one of the few songs that can make me burst into tears just from the first few notes. The music itself is beautiful and brilliant, but it’s definitely enhanced by having the experience of the actual game to go with it. It’s life changing.
Holy heck, you've made it this long without any spoilers?? That's an Olympian achievement. I know you've probably seen a thousand comments like this one but it is so, so worth going through at least once. It's not just a game, it's an experience that you take with you after you're done. I'm saying the same hype lines as everyone else that's recommended this to you, but it's absolutely true.
It's so nice seeing your fresh, genuine reactions! :) Besides additional Undertale (and Deltarune) tracks, I'd also recommend OSTs from the games "VVVVVV" (particularly "Potential for Anything") and "Journey" (particularly "Apotheosis" and "The Road of Trials").
If you want more video game music, "14.3 billion years" from Outer Wilds. A lot of people are very attached to this game and its OST. I hope that in this song you'll start to understand why.
this soundtrack is sooo beautiful... I can't stop smiling while listening to it... that's the magic behind Undertale... you can feel the warmth behind each and every note, as if they were extra careful about showing you (we) how to feel about the game... it's a masterpiece
The song is called Undertale for a reason, and not just because it's the longest and most impactful song in the game, but also because the song is about the actual TALE of Undertale
I would watch the heck out of a Undertale Playthrough from you. Always such an amazing game, and also very good pick for someone like you who doesnt have time to play a 50h game or something like that
Toby fox, the creator of Undertale and Deltarune, was a music composer before they dabbled with video game creation. Their amazing tunes are always a big part of anything they make or are part of.
4:49 I have a whole playlist of relaxing tracks I chill out or unwind to. Undertale: It's Raining Somewhere Else, Undertale, An Ending, Shop, Dating Start, Ruins Bugsnax: Snaxburg at Rest, Chandlo and Snorpy Head Home, Liftin Your Crib Dawg! A space between worlds Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Northeast Frost Street, Metro on Ice, Trip to Alivel Mall, Abandoned Beach Other games: Bubblaine Underwater, RoboCop Gameboy Title Theme, Cave Of Glimmer Moss, Hidden Palace Zone Non-game stuff: OST Twister 01. Wheatfield, OST Twister, The Big O: Apologize Sorry about the long comment, but I just wanted people to be curious and experience some of these tracks. They are so amazing to listen to.
my absolute favourite sound track in video games is tricky to pinpoint since several of my favourite video games of all time all have stellar soundtracks. the first two that came to mind however are from the Xero Escape series, 'Blue birds lamentation' from Virtue's Last Reward, and 'Morphogenetic Sorrow' from 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors (999 for short). really beautiful songs that tug at my heartstrings.
The story for this game completely blew me away. Great characters, and great game design. It really captures the essence of those magical moments games can have.
OMG the guitar intro just reminded me of Life is Strange that has a GOD TIER OST, especially reminded me of "Santa Monica Dream" but my favourite pick would probably be "In my mind" or "To all of you"
This specific Undertale OST makes me so tired, I sleep so well when its playing on my nightstand. Or when its up close in my ears with my headphones. Worlds easiest way to take a nap. Just play this for about a min and a half and im down for the count. I almost drifted off while watching your reaction😅😊
The best way i can describe Undertale music, no matter your age.. Nostalgia. A summer evening in the kitchen. Late at night gazing up at the stars. Walking in town with your family. Home.
All the Undertale soundtrack is amazing but the track Undertale itself always brings me back to the first time I played it and like many other players I cried. I'm normally like you in that I don't get particularly weepy over music so I'll just say it REALLY fits the scene where it's played and leave it at that. Also very much hoping that if/when you play Undertale that you post vids/vods of it here on youtube. I'm kinda in the wrong timezone alas to catch most playthroughs live but seeing someone's blind playthrough of Undertale is something very special indeed and probably will get you a ton of likes on here too given how much people love Undertale
Day 66 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!
The emotional damage. Anybody remember the monsters telling the story of Asriel, Chara, and Asgore, and then "Aren't you happy? You'll get to go home."?
Will the gameplay be posted on youtube as well? Can't watch your streams on Twitch as much as I'd like, so if it's gonna be a twitch only I'm gonna need to create some time to watch it
I absolutely adore this game and OST! You might be interested in checking out the OST for Deltarune as well (a sort of spiritual successor to Undertale). Toby Fox is a truly talented composer
Undertale is great! Both the music and the game. From videogames my favourite soundtrack would be Kainé salvation from NieR series. The music in NieR:Gestalt and NieR:Automata is amazing as Weight of The World showed and I hope you do more NieR music reactions
UNDERTALE really has an incredible soundtrack??!!!!!

And make sure that you…
Cya at the end of the RUINS.
(Borders can be changed in the settings menu.)
If you really want to scrape at everything in the game then try completing the game again in pacifist and in the judgement hall after hearing sans‘ spiel, go back to your last save point and hear his spiel again.
Also, will there be vods? Because I usually don’t watch things when they come out and Twitch always deletes vods after some time wich sucks.
Or stream the game with chat in emote mode. Chat can't spoil anything if they can't talk.
With how we managed to go through AoT I have a bit of faith in the GOT twitch chat 😇
THIS, backseaters and spoilers are so annoying
Seen too many playthroughs ruined by an excess of "You're playing the game wrong, idiot!"
honestly disable chat and have like 5 people you can trust giving you tips if you ask lmao
“Despite everything, it’s still you” is what’s displayed after you look into a mirror while this song plays. So it’s not far off the mark from being a song of contemplation.
That sentence still warms my heart til this day
It's a wonderful scene but PLEASE do not give any others away.
Nothing really hits the same as your first blind playthrough of Undertale and the memories you treasure
too bad most of the community now is uhhh... uuuuuuhhh.....

Same. I'd love to play this game again without knowing anything.
You’re completely right with your thoughts on this, this is the ultimate ‘everything will be okay’ song
🥹
dont click read more if you dont wanna be spoiled
personally it feels too happy, overwhelmingly happy. all the monsters in the underground are about to be freed, thats amazing right? everything is great! its all fine!
none of them understand the events that are about to unfold a few screens later
It's the hug you need after everything you've gone through.
why are people saying this when it's just wrong? spoilers but
I just don't how "sad backstory, you are about to kill or be killed" is everything will be okay
you should totally play it...
i'm pretty sure many tears would be shed!
From joy, anguish, anger, hope~
and determination
SEIBAAAAA!!!!
There is a south korean game that has had a similar story as Undertale but has had a slower growth product moon with lobotomy corp and it's 2 sequels
while spoiling as little as possible, this song plays during a sequence where you the player and the player character come to realize that whether you like it or not, you are basically the person who every character in the game is pinning their hopes on, and it it extremely emotionally overwhelming. I have cried literally every time I play this sequence
In Pacifist or Genocide?
@@PhantasmalChipsin Pacifist and True Pacifist, maybe Neutral, definitely NOT Genocide.
Fun fact! I played this song at my wedding, specifically during the part after we kissed and had to slink off to the side to sign the documents with the celebrant and our witnesses before walking down the aisle together. Got my brother to cry too!
Just reading this comment almost makes me cry that's so beautiful :')
Undertale shouldn't be played live unless you have a really strong mod team. There will be a lot of backseaters and spoilers otherwise
true
Agreed
Emote only will be a godsend for him

Someone: a song can’t make you cry!
Me, listening to this song: *cosplaying waterfall with my eyes*
"Despite everything,
it's still you."
I think everyone would be happy if you listened to the whole OST
Including me
@@GOTGames It also helps build context and sequencing of conceptual events of songs to you musically by listening to the whole OST at once in order.
CW: Cancer
This was the track I would listen to to help calm me down as they inserted the IV in me to start my chemotherapy treatment every day. Even with the associations with chemo now, it's still my go to track to calm myself down when I'm getting worked up. I love how gentle and calming the track is and while it feels melancholic at parts, ultimately it swells into a big hopeful section.
This song is the epitomy of moving on from tragedy into a new stage of your journey and appreciating what you have and the preciousness of life.
I love songs that slowly bring in more instruments one at a time and then fade out back to one, so damn good
undertale is quite possibly the greatest piece of media i have ever experienced. Whether or not you feel as strongly as I did, this is a must play, one of the few that I think absolutely everyone should play, its so beautiful
Gawd Almighty knows just how much I, and so many others, love this game and love this soundtrack.
When this song played in the game, after everything, I realised Undertale must be one of the most heartfelt games ever made.
This has to be one of my favourite OSTs from Undertale. Absolutely beautiful.
"There's something really emotional about this one"
Yeah, I can never get through this scene without crying
A common theme in my life is that whenever I rediscovered undertale it’s usually when I’m going through a big change. I think I’m about to enter a period of my life a bit like that again, I guess it’s time to obsess with undertale again lolol
More Undertale! I would really enjoy you playing Undertale. I also recommend you reacting to metatons ost.
It’s the song that most embodies the tenderness of a moment shared, when two hearts beat together, and you just…
…need to cry.
no matter how many times do i listen to this soundtrack, they always give me the same emotional feelings that i had on the first time listening, i have no word to say about the ost and you really should start playing the game whenever you can, its going to be a long journey
My favorite thing that many others probably didn't even notice is that he had the respect to mute the clicking sounds of the 'like and subscribe' buttons that pop up during the song. Props to you and the editor for keeping it real.
"his theme" is a amazing song from undertale aswel. highly recommend!
This song brings a tear to my eye everytime.
Absolutely love this piece, unskipable in every one of my playlists. Great reaction, i look forward to your gameplay.
this has always been my favourite track on the ost, its such a standout. its so easy to get lost in it. when this plays in game, there isnt really a lot happening, but it is a very emotionally loaded moment, thanks a lot to how great this track is. every time i hear it im transported back to that moment. its so simple in its construction, but its so immersive and feels so massive. and its the only song to feature an acoustic instrument (all others are synths), making it feel so warm and distinct from the others. ive definitely cried listening to this before lol
The key change gets me every time 😭
There's a reason Toby Fox is constantly getting calls from Game Freak to make tracks for Pokemon - Man is legendary.
This song does play at a very empathetic moment, when this came up I had such misgivings about trying to "win".
This is one of the few songs that can make me burst into tears just from the first few notes. The music itself is beautiful and brilliant, but it’s definitely enhanced by having the experience of the actual game to go with it. It’s life changing.
Yesss more undertale! I hope so much that your play it.
*Despite Everything, It’s Still You.*
This is my favorite track in the ost. It’s so calming yet so emotional at the same time
If you want more video game music, "14.3 billion years" from Outer Wilds.
When that piano counterpoint comes in at 8:38 it always makes me feel sad, like something great has ended.
Seeing you react to the undertale osts makes me want to replay the game the memories 😢
This is my favorite song from the album. It's beautiful and conveys so much, and makes me emotional every time.
I really enjoy that you enjoy it, thks for your reaction of this theme ❤ I really love Undertale and its ost.. 100% recommend the game of course 😄
Undertale is an absolute master class in making a simple concept become something that everyone remembers and shares stories of for years.
Idk, I wouldn't really describe Undertale as something simple... Yet I know not hard to understand which is why so many love the game.
The song is called Undertale for a reason, and not just because it's the longest and most impactful song in the game, but also because the song is about the actual TALE of Undertale
I would watch the heck out of a Undertale Playthrough from you. Always such an amazing game, and also very good pick for someone like you who doesnt have time to play a 50h game or something like that
I telling you, so many people including me cried listening to this in the game
Toby fox, the creator of Undertale and Deltarune, was a music composer before they dabbled with video game creation. Their amazing tunes are always a big part of anything they make or are part of.
4:49 I have a whole playlist of relaxing tracks I chill out or unwind to.
Undertale: It's Raining Somewhere Else, Undertale, An Ending, Shop, Dating Start, Ruins
Bugsnax: Snaxburg at Rest, Chandlo and Snorpy Head Home, Liftin Your Crib Dawg! A space between worlds
Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Northeast Frost Street, Metro on Ice, Trip to Alivel Mall, Abandoned Beach
Other games: Bubblaine Underwater, RoboCop Gameboy Title Theme, Cave Of Glimmer Moss, Hidden Palace Zone
Non-game stuff: OST Twister 01. Wheatfield, OST Twister, The Big O: Apologize
Sorry about the long comment, but I just wanted people to be curious and experience some of these tracks.
"Aren't you excited? Aren't you happy? You're going to be free."
The soundtrack in the Undertale is just beautiful. I really like him. This is one of my most favorite soundtracks. I love Undertale.
If there's any video-game soundtrack that will leave me with such incredible emotions, this track would be it!
Honestly one of the greatest OST's imo.
omggg im gonna watch the vod right now!!!
did he play it yet?
After Everything that's happened, It's still you. :)
9:21 hahaha wtf this is awesome, this is so perfect to describe it
What’s the word for everything being perfectly placed yet so simple? Elegant. Or Elegance.
Can't wait to see this man in tears when this actually plays in the game...
I would absolutely love to see you play Undertale live! Do you have any idea when you would start? I want to mark it down on my calendar!
You need a hug after hearing this, don't you?
5:42 Your reaction to this song is not at all strange, a genuine song illicits a genuine reaction.
Credit scene song is "Last Goodbye"
undertale is a great game to be react with! It's not a super long game, and it has so many moments that worth reacting!
Another similar game with amazing ost is Omori, I would recommend that too!
@default7713 I totally expected not getting any response, I'm so touched now for some reason, I'm sorry and thanks 🥲
And yes, IT IS!
The emotional damage. Anybody remember the monsters telling the story of Asriel, Chara, and Asgore, and then "Aren't you happy? You'll get to go home."?
You have to hear the Kingdom hearts 3D opening! Thats an orchestra Masterpiece
If you'll do another undertale ost reaction, the ost: "finale" would be amazing to react to
Its a short game, totally worth playing and replaying. Just do it, especially if you love music and enjoy exploring emotions trough it.
The moment he realizes this all was made by ONE person. And the game and the graphics and the story and the music, everything made by this ONE person.
Hollow knight has a wonderful soundtrack. So does Celeste.
YES you might want to hear the Man on the internet undertale musical
Great game with great music
Undertale is great! Both the music and the game. From videogames my favourite soundtrack would be Kainé salvation from NieR series. The music in NieR:Gestalt and NieR:Automata is amazing as Weight of The World showed and I hope you do more NieR music reactions
Undertale is a game that plays a lot with the fact that its a game and how players act... to really mess with you. Its cool.
My favourite ones are heartache, battle against a true hero and Hopes and dreams.
