Sweet arrangement of an old classic, Doug. It’s hard not to smile listening to that tune. And we all sure need to smile a lot more in 2020!!!

Nice tutorial, only just found it ( so many songs, so little time..) Cool singning and playing, really great quality👌. You have a new subscriber. I have just realised that if you utilise the "C" shape caged chord for E major you basically only have to lift your pinky to get to C sharp minor 7 - and the A major 7 is just around the corner! 👍

Really nice! Just one minor addition that if you do the C/D and D/E with one finger barre then the highest string is not part of the chord.

You are correct! Thanks for pointing that out. But If you don't play the first string.. then I guess the chord name is correct? Thanks for watching!

@@dougedgell Yeah it's correct as it has all the three C chord notes plus D as the bass. I play it differently in this song. Index finger 3rd fret first string. Middle on 5th fret 5th string. Ring on 5th fret 3rd string. Pinky on 5th fret 2nd string. I don't play the open D string (I play this song with finger picking so it's easier to skip strings; your strumming sounds awesome though, I will give it a try). D/E is the same pattern two frets up. Many different ways to play! would've been boring otherwise :)
