If so how ? If we were to do scatter feeding how will we know there eating ? Could we scatter some and put the rest in a little dish just to be sure ? More help with figuring out food where to get seed mixes and what kind are good ? If we choose an Etsy shop how do we make sure there mix is good ? What fruits are they allowed and not allowed to have ? Where do You get your spays ? And etc . ) please help

I decided that I am going to do a coffee themed hamster enclosure for my dwarf, Dylan ☺️ I already bought a Hamster Bucks hide, coffee bead garland to hang outside of his enclosure, a larger sand bath that’ll have coco chips spilling out of a mug that reads “Sawdust is hamster glitter” 😂 (I know sawdust isn’t safe) I also bought a small sugar bowl that’ll spill out white aquarium sand in the sand bath to look like spilled sugar I’m pretty proud of myself since I usually suck at doing anything themed.

Victoria I had 3 hamsters before I found your channel and they all had a tiny critter trail cage with barely any bedding and a tiny wheel. I found your channel and am now hopefully getting a hamster soon with all the proper care! My parents think what you say is ridiculous but when I explain they get it. They still call it ridiculous but my dad just said he’ll buy everything I need. He told me about the 4 hamsters he used to have as well. ❤❤❤ you’re great!

Hello thank you so much for all of your RUclips videos. They really helped me a lot through my research. I would like to share this story with you. One day, I told my dad; “I want a pet!” And he said “ No” then I kept asking and he eventually said yes. At first I wanted a Guinea pig but then once I learnt more about hamsters I realized how fascinating they really are. So I took around 30 minutes to research all their needs, create a presentation about it, and show it to my dad. And of course since I only took thirty minutes to research, I still was pretty clueless of how to care for a hamster. But after I got him, ( I got my hamster Cheerio from PETSMART) he started showing some boredom and stress behaviours. He continued biting on the bars at night and I immediately started researching how i could put an end to this. And that’s when I came across your videos. You’ve helped me out a ton and you’ve even helped to have my dad make a larger enclosure for Cheerio. (Cheerio is my male long haired Syrian hamster.) You’ve also helped me to realize that hamsters are not extremely friendly otherwise I would’ve gotten bitten a long time ago. I am really sad that I didn’t end up researching more before getting a hamster, but I am happy because Cheerio is a huge bundle of joy.
Pro tip: next time glue those dowels together lying flat on the floor, that way the railing will be perfectly even. You just need to make sure the first angles are 90 degrees; and I push the dowels against a ruler. In the end you just glue the whole rail onto the roof. By the way this also works for rounded shapes - just wait until the line of dowels is almost hardened but still bendable. :)
I would really like to make a little platform for my hamsters food dish because they knock it over every single time I'm also going to try to scatter feed them as well

My hamsters wakeup schedule is basically the same but he some times wakes up at 9 if he says up until late like 6am but if he goes to bed early then he wakes up at 5-6 sometimes even 4:30pm. He has all the essentials a sand bath 8+ inches of bedding and much more. He is a Male Chinese dwarf hamster and he is very cute and very skid-dish and shy but I love him to death

Thanks! Hamster balls just aren't safe overall, I'll use Penny in his carrier as an example- Penny doesn't like his carrier, when he goes in it he tries to lift the lid and escape out of it. Now imagine if his carrier was a sphere, if he tried to escape or lift the lid it would roll, and just because it was rolling wouldn't equal to enjoying being in it.
Yesterday afternoon my 2 year old hamster passed. In the morning I noticed his food untouched and when he heard my voice he came out. he was all wobbly, shaky and his breathing was fast. He had also been restless and trying to sleep outside of his hut which is very unusual. I went out for a few hours and when I came back he had already crossed the rainbow bridge.
