Adding money to the safe does add to your house value... but its bugged, I just tried to complete the same aspiration on my super sim, I t didn't count so I just left the money in there, when I loaded the game back up the next day the aspiration completed itself, just remember to take the money back out if you sell the safe as you'll only get the $3000 you paid for the safe and not the money inside 🤦🏻♀️😂

I was thinking the same thing. And it's SO ANNOYING. It happens to me all the time. I'll be trying to have a parent tend to the child right in front of them and they keep route failing because some random sim three blocks away has decided they're going to coo at it.
This particular one is similar to the Pet Me-Pet Me-Pet Me interaction glitch, albeit the queue isn't Infinity, haha. But it does just keep queuing until the sibling completes the Meet New Sibling interaction the first time the baby is on the lot with them. It's really hard to cancel, but I think Reset worked. Also, in other situations, if you can't get to a baby, it's most likely another Sim blocking, and only secondarily the position of the bassinet. Whenever a baby needs something, it broadcasts to all Sims on the lot other than Toddlers. It blocks the slot even when they're really far away. Children should be removed from this as well.... I think the Stair Climbing in the tree and stairs vanishing is due to the terrain. But I love what James has done with the terrain, so it's worth it, haha. The house turned out really well--love the Studies of Max Portraits! And the bedrooms are so colorful! Do they have a dishwasher? I think they choose that over a sink generally, so might keep them from running to the farthest sink. It was so cute when one twin tried to cheer up the other before going Cloudgazing.
If you put out one of those bench things at the table, the toddlers will use that. They wont use the table. But then they will be eating at the table in a way.

while moving does reset your collectibles, as long as you still have them, re-putting them in your personal inventory (or, if they're already there, picking it up and dropping it back in) counts as "discovering" the collectible. So, while annoying, as long as you keep all your stuff, you don't have to start from scratch.

James, for the fish collection you can just put them all in Max's inventory and then take them out. It's kind of a nuisance to do, but that'll reset the collection and you'll complete it again
I'm still looking forward to seeing whether Name and Baby are vampires. The only reason I can think of that they should be is that the last house had the Dark Leyline trait? Their needs were too low to see the vampire icon or not. (If their needs were all in the green it would show a little fanged smiley face. It would also show in CAS, but we know how much you hate to use that Semaj.)
Hey James! How about the Backwards-Inwards challenge? The challenge is to build the house from the inside out or, when you are building the inside, have the opposite perspective. Imagine building the front of the house and having to build it from the perspective of the backyard - let the frustration being. When you have the rooms finished you need to place the windows from inside the rooms and furnish and all that. You can place a porch with stairs AFTER you've done the house so don't worry about it. Honestly, I don't believe you can do it but you could try......... >:)
I recreated the outside terrain and basic house shape etc from the outside of this build on console, and I haven’t had any of those weird issues. Except the front stairs deleting.. that happens often, which isn’t at all frustrating..
You should also try and unlock as much of the locked build/buy content as possible - like the stuff that requires you to have purchased store perks, club perks, or played 73 basketball games, in additional to the career locked stuff

Sims 2 six toddler challenge! Hardest thing in the world! Two adults, six toddlers, no outside help (nannies, maids, friends, etc), get all the toddlers educated in talking, walking, and the potty before they are children and without getting any taken away.

XD And of course those stairs at the front continue to be a pain -- I wonder WHY they keep deleting every time you build anything on the lot? *sigh* Well, anyway, the place looks nice, and -- despite some issues -- seems like the family is settling in nicely. I love how Max's fame perks mean, even if his performance tanks thanks to a ill-conceived bonus negotiation, it promptly spikes again the moment he goes to work. He is going to just POWER through the careers now! (Er, no pun intended.) And yes, I'm glad you realized that completing the storyline isn't QUITE the same as completing the aspiration. Still, bugging people seems to be a decent way to gather evidence. A little scrabbling around in the secret lab, and you should have enough to assemble your dossier! And then you can just use the keycard you already got as a top secret agent to progress further. :p Ah, the Sims. . .
When I did the same track in the military career the search the stars could never get to complete. Even cheating needs. But not doing it had little impact on promotion.
It would have been awesome, if you switched the two stairs places. Then the basement's stairs could be hidden with a wall and a door. I hope you understand this :D

in the beginning of the video, i think the reason why you couldn't access the babies was because the kids were interfering. they were probably trying to give the babies attention, which would have prevented the parents from doing their job as parents to the babies. hence why i never have freewill on..... i always play with families cause i don't like having a single sim, it's boring.

I put the babies in a locked room for this reason if there are children in the family because they are sooooo annoying about getting in the way.

You can do the collections if you keep all of the items. Moving them into and out of the inventory should count them.

I think the collectionsbug is fixed. Max completed the magic bean collection in the last home and it is still completed.
