2 years later and my first potters pink (Roman Szmal ) is on its way from Jackson’s. And here is your relevant video . sometimes you just gotta love your listening devices and the algorithm 💃❤️
Thanks for the demo! I got a tube of the Cotman's Potters Pink because I get a discount through school. I love this stuff! Finally, I was able to get just the right hue and texture for the sand on my beach project, mixing the pink and burnt sienna. It came out just how I wanted it. I see this will be a go to color for me!
Schmincke is like a bit more concentrated version of W&N,goes bit darker..it’s also very pretty in mixes..I have Schminke and Roman Szmal, tempted to get W&N next to try when these will be over
I have the DS Potter's Pink, which I love using and I enjoy how it's fairly neutral and it works beautifully in landscapes. I'd probably get the WN version in the future because of how much cooler it is, but they all look delicious :) Thanks for comparing these Potter's Pinks!
Thanks for the video! I have a Maimeri Blu one. And always wanted to compare it to Winsor and Newton. But now can't justify getting it. They look so similar here!
It's so cool to see all of these side by side. I just recently got my first 'Potter's Pink' (Schmincke) and was curious how it compares to others. Really interesting to see how Roman Szmal's is quite a bit different. If I were to pick one from this sampling, I'd choose Winsor & Newton's - very pretty.
I've only got the Schmincke version, but I think the W&N would be my perfect middle ground if I was getting just one of them - I like that it's rosier than Schmincke and DS (DS looks especially brown compared to the others), but still darker than the RS. The RS looks like a really lovely pink, but I kind of expect potter's pink to have a touch more brown to it - I'd love to have it, but not as my only potter's pink.
i was recently looking get a potter's pink, this was so helpful! thank you so much!! is the roman szmal one hard to rewet? from your metal palette clanking a lot, it seems like it's difficult..?
@@jaimeanderson9238 ahhhh i see, i have that issue too. thank you so much for your reply! i think i'll go with the roman szmal one since it looks so pretty being the 'pinkest' of them all.

Cotman has Potter`s pink? I never knew that

Love your comparison approach. More please!!
Thank you

I agree they are quite different hues. Thank you :)
This was super helpful, thankyou!! I was debating on the Roman Szmal and seeing it here.. I love it!💖
That Schmincke is beautiful!

They are extremely similar :)

Thank you :) I think they're both great paints.
I currently own the daniel smith version, I love the winsor and Newton. The roman schmall is beautiful too!
The Roman Szmal looks interesting. I‘ve got the W&N and the DS one at home. Potters Pink is a great colour.
It really is versatile. I think you chose good ones.
I think I prefer the W&N. It seems to go down more smoothly.
Very helpful, thanks. I’ve wanted to add this to my collection. Nice to see the differences.
My favorite is Windsor Newton
I think mine is too :)
Great comparison. Thanks for sharing❤
Thank you!
Nice comparison. Thank you. Which paper pad are you using?
Never used potters pink but it looks lovely
It's a lovely dusty rose color that is highly granulating but it's power is in mixes:)
Wonderful comparison! Which one do you prefer?
Thank you! That is such a hard question. Probably Winsor & Newton because it's nearly as granulating as Daniel Smith but it's cooler, which I prefer.
@@jaimeanderson9238 whew! Lol I have that one. I know it’s so impossible to pick one when they’re all a bit different.
@@flyinghaggertys9362 It really is a great one and I know what you mean :)

I agree with you.
Nice comparison:) Tip: tape your paper down so you have your hands free and the paper won't move
How about granulation with W & N

I'm so glad:) No it rewets fairly easily. I have some pans in the middle of my palette that aren't snapped in because I ran out of space.

Great video, thanks! Although I'd love to see the close-ups more slowly :)
Thank you! I'll try to do that on my future videos, thank you for the feedback :)
@@jaimeanderson9238 You're welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing more content from you. Take care!
Me too....less camera moving
Hi! May I ask what size is the Roman Szmal pan? I'm wondering how many particles would fit in my palette :^)
A full pan is 3.6 ml😊
Thank you very much!
They are also approximately 1.2×0.7×0.4inch
Thanks!!
