Whenever someone underplays a strong hand pre-flop
Hellmuth "Give that man a medal"
So true 😂 unless it’s against him, then it’s “what the f*ck is going on here”
Roberto, its because phil LOVES to trap, but he checks too much and lets people catch up.
That's a backhanded compliment. Underplaying a strong hand preflop is a bad move and he is pointing that out.
holy shit did you think of that yourself
@@tortiemh it's not always a bad move. If you play strong hands strong every time, it'll become pretty easy to figure out. It's about mixing it up and playing different things different ways.
If Phil had been on the wrong end of that play, he would have been like “he called me with AK honey”
he limped in with AK honey, what an idiot, who lips in with AK and then checks
No ones messes with phil
@@sid8818 Sam grizzle

Of course Phil loved that play, that was the Hellmuth special
He would have cried for like 30mins straight if he had been trapped like that

Never seen Tom Dean actually look like he’s enjoying himself like he does here. Laid back with a beer is a Dawn form I didn’t think I’d ever see.
Yeah, it's good to see Tim in his zone.
Agreed, never thought I’d see Dom Twan enjoying himself so much from Dusk till Dwan
Yeah totally great to see Tod Dean enjoying himself again
Really weird seeing Tad Dom being this up
Didn't he go to Macau and then end up owing millions to gangsters and basically having to play for them?
It’s crazy seeing Tom Dwan just casually playing as a middle aged guy… Knowing all those years he was missing, owing people millions, a lot of us though he was surely in the bottom of the sea, South of Macao.
So many theories over the years lol
Just call is fine with AK there when you have maniac like that left to act. Just calling versus enormous raise is tricky though as SPR will be low and 2/3 of time AK will miss flop. So in practice 3bet shove preflop would be better. Use big pocket more preferably for trapping.
Yea but In this case the call is the only reason he stacked Alan so it was a genius play
@@typicallymoody that makes zero sense lol
@@pierrearr makes perfect sense. You think Alan would call if ninja shoved pre-flop? Hell no
@@typicallymoody so what? The runouts are random and the result of the hand doesn't define whether or not the play was good...jesus....
@@pierrearr you don’t always have to play exactly by the book. Obviously in this case not playing by the book made him tons more money than he would by playing “perfectly.” So in this case he made the better play by not following the rules, even if it’s not the “right” play. It’s not that hard to understand Jesus…
Phil having fun and laughing, lovely to see
I that was Phil in the hand he wouldn't be calling it genius lol

Hustler Casino live seized the opportunity to crush all other poker live streams. 🙌🏼👏🏼
I would be tagging Alan as an ATM so quickly.
@Duncan Donut Donut ? You do realize Keating has been in these circles for ages, his word is good. In games like this nobody is bringing 10+ buyins, this is common. Also Alex scanned his black card at the end so she probably already got paid.
@Duncan Donut Donut You act like Alan Keating is some random person who will just disappear to avoid paying $100k. Think you're misreading the situation, she's been paid and loaning money kept the action going on that table.
@Duncan Donut Donut Missed that. She loaned Alan $100k?
@Duncan Donut Donut he's played with her and other streamers many times on stream before. He paid her 700k on the stream for lending him money so you don't need to worry. He's known in poker and has lost millions, he is mega rich as a finance guy and works and plays with streamers/celebrities like Bieber and Bilzarian I doubt she was worried about him not paying.
2:58 Phil's Sims dance...
When I play AK like that I usually get sucked out on when they smash 2 pair with 23 or 56.
Which is why u theoretically shouldn't play like that. You don't gotta win the game in 1 hand. It's hard to not go for the biggest play sometimes though. But If u wanna gamble. Play slots not poker
@@thomasdanley7642 witch is why I always raise. Just saying slow playing big hands don't always work out
Phil finally seeing someone else lay the trap that he’s been trying to lay for 36 years
2:33 my heart stopped I thought he said something else
When he said, “it’s to me, right?” I thought that was such a huge tell, usually signifies some excitement at the thought. That plus a check raise would pretty much instantly make me fold with bottom pair.
hellmuth have those type of hands i dont wanna shake
Lol i've never seen Mr.Beast play at high stakes or poker til now
Phil got bodied I wouldn’t even care if he praised my poker skills
I remember when Hellmuth lost his mind at Negreanu calling him with a 5 lmao
No the best way to really mess with someone is to throw off your playing style and change it up repeatedly
For example I may start by raising every time I hit a good hand but in the same breath I will turn around and maybe call the bb with a great hand and check it down to the river, once it hits the river I will raise big
Or I may bet the bb all the way to the river then raise big to make them think I'm either bluffing or just hit on the river
Phil would have flipped out if he was on the other end of that one
I know that felt good man. Probably a lot of practice and studying to get to that moment, and for a guy of Phil's status to recognize it has to be cool.
lol you can tell ninja doesnt really know what he just did. lets not act here.
You would think it's a a good play when Phil applauds it 😂😂
Homie I got a pair of 6's "I'm all in" this man trapped himself playing 7 6 haha
Gotta be careful with KA till you see the flop, then checking the turn is always a good idea for throwing off your opponent and letting them have a say. When he asked “are you going to call me if I bet?”, was a big mistake, it showed weakness. And then he bets all in after letting him know he is weak. Easy all in call.
Funny to think that Ninja, a known Gamer, at a Texas Hold Em Poker table. Same as me where I utilize the Gambling and Card Suits Theme to my gameplay in the game I was to go competitive on. ♠️♦️♣️♥️
He Ninja'd the pot. 🥷
That was pretty baller.
That is how I play in Pokerstars VR all the time, I could be sat on a high end full house and just check and let the guy stuck with a lower full house raise or go all in and I just clean up,,, best way because if I bet I give away that I have the full house and now they have to think if the lower full house will win and usually unless they are smart will fold and I win nothing
He isn’t blown away. This is his way of trying to fit in with these kids cause he knows they have money and suk at poker
Still he lost money
Wonder what he was thinking when he went all in with a 6 when 2 facecards were present
I’ve never seen Hellmuth so infatuated.

Hellmuth was a huge bitch during the entirety of this game. I cant even imagine the buckets of Phils salty tears if he had been trapped like that.
@@Rubokopter It blows my mind that even hellmuth would complain about that game. You would NEVER find such a high stakes game so soft in almost any other scenario. This situation was a dream come true for a pro poker player and he still whined lol.
this one was so fucking good lmfao, with the amount of preflop splashing going on you can tell alan gave a hand as strong as AK about zero chance of being double flatted, you can see the the gears turning after getting check raised on AQ6, meanwhile Phil watching the exact scenario of his dreams play out for ninja which is trapping someone he perceives as playing too wide
To be fair ninja probably raises any ace and almost any q there so I think Alan can still find a fold
What do you mean by double flatted? I am inexperienced viewer
@@ahancho double flatting = calling (and not choosing to reraise) twice on the same street (in this case preflop). usually when you limp in, then "just call" a later position's raise at the amateur level it's heavily weighted towards weakness, ninja basically underrepresented his hand massively relatively to how this game was playing, and it got him paid postflop
@@falseheadgossip1700 thank you
@@falseheadgossip1700 as a youtube poker pro myself, great explanation
Hellmuth loves to trap when he thinks someone is overly aggressive. He thinks it shuts aggressive people down. But by doing that he actually gives people way too much implied odds against his 'premium' hands. Then he cries about being out drawn for half an hour.
It's probably not a bad play by a relatively unknown guy against Keating who's known to be so far out of line all the time. Hellmuth be like watching poker porn there.
Totally agree my dude.
@@Lymbe06 shhh don’t wake up the dead money
Xx. You nailed it! Poker porn, lmmfao.
It really depends on the player. Sometimes people are super agro but will fold when the normally tight player all of a sudden plays back at them. In those cases trapping or trying to bluff more are good choices.
2:19 Someone said "Open ended straight draw" buddy you need to go back to poker school.
Phil Helmuth is so scummy
poker experts: never limp in preflop
also poker players: limping with AK preflop is genius!

Hellmuth coming in with the wisdom that he needs a 6 or a 7 to win there🤦 thanks Phil no one at the table figured that out

Hahaha he's a poker genius
Wouldnt a 6 have given Ninja a higher 2-pair? It looked like he needed a 7 or 8.
@@etoobrute No because 6 would give him trips
@@Janppa ahh. I misread his hand! For some reason I was seeing 7, 8. So i thought he got a pair on the turn which made him go all-in.
If Phil was on the losing end of that he wouldve been like " this is unbelievable man, how can you play this dumb and win every time, I mean it just makes no sense".
Nobody going to mention he snap called all in with just a pair? Every pro would probably think keating had 3 of a kind and lay down. Sometimes being a noob helps and thats’s why poker is so tricky

@@mrcv1999 lmao it's called being nice to rec players
No one going to comment how bottom pair on AQ6 called that raise? Of course Hellmuth likes Ninja's play because it is a play Hellmuth himself would use. Pretty standard to trap a splashing player with a monster like AK though; it is only "special" here because the raise to 10k induced an All-in and the AK trap worked like a dream, but overall, the play was pretty routine poker-wise.
Phil still thinks it's 2000 lol he is so bad at poker now the game has changed 😆 Phil thinks AK is AA lol even 22 is ahead.
Thats pretty standard move I feel. The strongest hands play weak.
Pfff... He limp calls AK, flops top pair and the sloppiest player in the western hemisphere gets it in. Genius!
I think this is the first time I’ve seen Phil happy and not malding
He is overcompensating for the bad whining behavior.
Man I was thinking, huh this guys pretty humble with how he kept his cool through that play.. then as that thought crossed my mind the guy starts thrusting hahahaha
So we're going to pretend Ninja knows how to play poker and isn't just doing whatever he wants? Okay.
Because Poker is so hard to play? It's a strategy game with odds and a portion of luck, not rocket science.
@@envirosani3636 Where did I say anything about difficulty? I'm saying that Ninja was doing what he felt was right at the time, he didn't play the hand like he KNEW he should i.e. by experience and actually knowing what he was doing.
Do you actually think poker is just doing what you want when you feel like it or there isn't some science behind it?
@@mrdoogle5931 he was setting up a basic trap lol
@mrDoogle I agree with you bro. Ninja was just doing whatever random thing came into his brain. No skill to that tbh, idk why that guy went all in, it was sub par decisions all the way around. Ninja shouldn’t even of snap called with just an ace anyways.
@@criticalshotss2700 "Ninja shouldn’t even of snap called with just an ace anyways." Just proves the point. Guy goes all in and he doesn't even take a few seconds to contemplate what he had.
it's usually a good idea to play the opposite of the way your opponents play. If you have a guy trying to play for stacks with 4th pair then why wouldn't you play passively with premium hands and try to trap. It's pretty obvious.
Who are these losers and why is Phil pretending to be impressed.
As long as Hellmuth isn't losing, he gives the guy props. If he was in the hand and lost to Ninja, the exact same hands, he'd be singing a different tune.
