What other HTTYD themes should I arrange?
i am begging on my KNEES for anything with third date and furies in love from hidden world
you should do "Where no one goes" by Jonsi and John Powell from HTTYD 2! That would be cool.
you should do a medley of songs that include the "lost and found" theme (flying with mother, toothless found, as long as he's safe, etc.)
All of them. Not a single bad choice in any of the soundtracks. John Powell did a fantastic job.
Any and all of them!
A lot of people grew up with this awesome trilogy and the soundtrack is extremely underrated as well, I'm glad you did it justice.
True~
Indeed
I totally agree i watched HTTYD when i was younger and i always liked the soundtrack of it, so good
Reading this comment made me realize/remember that the first film came out in March 2010 (12 years ago) and now I feel old.
@@TacticianMark tell me about it lol
HTTYD has a very special place in my heart. I just finished rewatching the trilogy and am overwhelmed by so much feels...
John Powell has created a masterpiece, and I can't stop getting super emotional whenever I hear the soundtrack.
This is a REMASTER of my old arrangement. I've improved everything a lot and added more themes!
Did you grow up watching HTTYD like I did?!?!
first of all Karu already made a masterpiece of httyd, and now master samuel is here making this too! Coincidence? i ThINk nOT
Yes sir! This trilogy does hold a special place in my heart as well.
Of course I did. And because I was a huge dragon enthusiast this was my favourite movie for a while
Yeeees! Such an amazing trilogy. Cant wait to listen to this!
I didn’t get to grow up with how to train your dragon when but I fell in love with the movies and it’s soundtrack! I can’t wait to hear your arrangement !
One of the most underrated trilogies in cinematic history imo, the soundtrack and plot doesn't get enough recognition, especially John Powell. This is easily on par with Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Magical.
Technically, they had a series that took place in between Part 1 & Part 2 but still, you have point. Best trilogy😎👍🏽

I agree
“This is Berk!
It's twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death.
It's located solidly on the Meridian of Misery.
My village. In a word? Sturdy. And it's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new.
We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes….
We have…. dragons!”
“This is Berk.”
“It snows nine months out of the year, and hails the other three. What little food grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here, even more so. The only upsides are the pets. While other places have ponies, or parrots.”
“We have… dragons.”
Most people would leave, not us. We’re Vikings. We have…stubbornness issues.
“What is he doing out again- what’s are you doing out? Get inside!”
That’s…Stoick the Vast. Chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby he popped a dragons head clean off its shoulders. Do I believe it? Yes I do.
“What have we got?”
“Gronkles, Nadders. Zipplebacks, oh and Bork saw a Monstrous Nightmare.”
“Any Night Furies?”
“None so far.”
“Good.”
Dialogue of a legend.

Well they need toothpicks don't they?
How To Train Your Dragon is a big part of my siblings and my childhood. It will never get old. Along with Kung Fu Panda and a few others.
Yes, mine too. My sister and I loved Kung Fu and Toothless.
Same
@@multiverse_media2023 Nice guys!
Same man . Toothless was epic and Kung fu panda was just too good as well especially master shifu and Tailung
Yes ofc
Did anyone else feel like dragons were real like how dinosaurs were still alive in Jurassic Park? I still had that feeling to this day and just deepens my love for this amazing trilogy!
I always get goosebumps from 2:55. John Powell really created a masterpiece.
on some parts like this get multiple goosebumps in a row like they don't stop
Me too....which is why I artificially restrict myself from listening to this theme too often so has to preserve the emotional weight of the song
@@yashma4187 finally someone who understands emotional things must remain special
@@yashma4187 Same!
I could swear I've heard that specific part of the song in a different piece, but I can't place it.
You never really realise how much these childhood movies mean to you until your a broken teenager reliving you innocent memories.
This hit me deep in the heart, beautifully done
You never really realise how much you need these movies in general as a 35yo dude who was in his early twenties when this came out its good to know people keep it alive.
Or when you're a broken 20-something reliving your innocent memories
11 years: what a cool movie!
24 years: I want my childhood back 💔
@@codeman2087 You and me both man. I am planning on watching this great series again with my wife just to get a feeling of how great the good old days were.
Man, How To Train Your Dragon never gets old. John Powell’s tracks were all masterpieces. And Test Drive is iconic by this point.
Let’s see how this master of music makes them even better.
I'm looking forward this. Also please could u make one of "Where No One Goes", that theme was Epic as well
It does say"& more"
"Let the wind carry us
To the clouds, hurry up, alright
We can travel so far
As our eyes can see
We go where no one goes
We slow for no one
Get out of our way
Awake in the sky
We break up so high, alright
Let's make it our own,
Let's savor it
We go where no one goes
We slow for no one
Get out of our way
We slow for no one
We go where no one goes
We slow for no one
We go where no one goes
We go where no one goes"

PLEEASSEEE YESSS😭😭
This is my ABSOLUTE favourite thing you’ve ever done!!!
👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥
Someone: "You can't make epic music more epic"
Sam: "hold my beer"
you mean: "hold my mead"
tbh, I don't think it's possible to make something more epic than Test Drive, with all it represents.
Exactly
“Hold my violin. Wait- no I need that back for this”
I grew up watching HTTYD. It has a special place in my heart. The soundtracks were all masterpieces itself, not to mention the trilogy. My parents showed me this movie when I was 6-7 years old and words can never explain how much I loved this movie/franchise. Revisiting this theme, just goes to show much we've all grown up. Thank you Samuel Kim
We had the same childhood
Same here ! Grew up with hiccup !
I saw this movie when I was 4. Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed it.
Me too ㅠㅠ
Same i was born in 2004 , and watched the movie in 2011/2010 , when i was 6 years old .
I am turning 18 next month ...... TIME FLIES .
Honestly, growing up with all these amazing franchises like HTTYD, Star Wars (prequels mainly), LOTR (many more) and seeing the new movies and franchises and not seeing much original potential, I’m terrified my children won’t have the chance I had to feel goosebumps and lose feeling in your body all because the scene was that strong
They still can, these classics can be handed down to them.
I believe that the last good original franchise ended with avengers endgame
This song will hit so much harder than a truck, httyd is pure nostalgia, I watched it for the first time in 2010, I was 5, when the movie had in theaters
HTTYD is an exceptionally good trilogy
All of it's movies are phenomenal and really fun to watch
They have amazing world building ,intriguing characters with interesting personalities and they also have dragons..
Oh and every soundtrack of this trilogy is so beatiful and impactful to the story
The scene where hiccup throws the paper away and rides toothless on pure instinct. Legendary.
my fav scene of all time. i always get goosebumps
Probably the best trilogy ever made
shouldnt the best trilogy ever made be the prequels
The fact that Ani is saying this says something lol
Long Live the Dragons of Berk.
Surely*🔥
@@seanlee280 i love star wars. i love spiderman. i love the dark knight trilogy. httyd is the best trilogy of all time
1:10 hit me with some serious nostalgia, absolutely amazing
Same
This trilogy is just freaking close to my heart . It's literally my favourite animated trilogy along with Kung Fu Panda
The ending of The Hidden World will forever be a treasure in my heart 😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Why thou? The ending was basically them giving up everything they had worked for, for so many years. Not to mention that it doesnt make any sense anyways, it was rushed as hell and the movie basically made us want to cheer when the dragons needed to be sealed away from the world, kept in a shitty, unrealistic underground cave, instead of freely soaring the skies up ahead. Should I be clapping for that shit?
@@anfani6839 🗿
@@ExoTorch Not really the answer I was hoping for.. cant you explain why you liked it so much?
@@anfani6839 I don't feel it was them giving up, but them evolving. I felt the whole trilogy to be about emancipation, because everything they did together brang to that end ; both of them developed a family, the recognition from their peers and they helped their own people to better understand themselves and others.
I don't really understand why you're saying they should be flying in the sky instead of living safe in their homeland. We saw two stages of them flying : the first one at the beggining of the movie were they attack to feed their leader, and the second one with HTTYD 2 and 3 with them being hunted.
The first villain wants to dominate dragons, the second one wants to kill them ; how do we know there is not another one ? As Valka said to Hiccup about Stoick : it is sometimes impossible to make people change (not word for word, I don't remember the exact line). So I think it's obvious that dragons must be safe and hidden to anyone who didn't learned to appreciate and respect them.
And yes, it also was a trilogy about the acceptance of yourself and of the others, so you're gooing to tell me "why they don't live together like they were used to ?"
In my opinion, it's because it was the point only of the first movie. At the beginning, they're afraid of each other ; at the end, there is no greater love than the love between a dragon and "his" human, and between a human and "his" dragon.
That's why I think the global theme of the trilogy is growth and emancipation : even the point evolves between the movies.
I hope it's developped enough, I may had forgotten some stuff. And I'm sorry about the very probably bad grammar ; I tried my best :)
@@raphaelborg8565 Thou the movie in itself has already proven to be incorrect in the safety aspect - the Lightfury was already captured prior to the movie, despite her living in the Hidden World - And Toothless and family were outside of the HW at the end scene, basically implying that dragons need to resurface once in a while - which only makes sense, given the fact that resources are probably very tight in the Hidden World. And what about dragons that cant fly or do need specific food or climate to survive? And how should all the dragons have vanished forever, if the dragons were even around where Drago came from (which is miles and miles away from Berk).
And imo dragons and humans were only able to defeat all the villains when they united. Remember the red death in the first movie? if it wasnt for the unity, the dragons would have kept invading Berk for the prey until maybe one day, the queen dies. And they were only able to fend off the Bewilderbeast because they wanted to protect their home and their humans. If anything honestly, Berk is now even more a target, since probably a lot of Grimmels armada survived in the end and retreated - word will go around other trappers and they could eventually come and torture the villagers for the location of the HW.
But even IF the separation at the end somehow made sense thematically - it was still executed horribly. Hiccup decided 30 seconds before it happened, that it needs to happen, without ever having talked about it with anyone and single handedly make this decision over the heads of everyone. And not even a single viking or dragon complaining makes no sense at all - it should have been properly set up to be justified
I was three years old, going on four in may, when the first movie came out, I was 8 when the second one came out, and 12 when the third one came out, I’ve seen every single one more than three times, the first one the most of all of them, and I love every single one, I cried at the third one when Toothless had to leave Hiccup, and how to train your dragon was one of the first movies I remember watching, along with Jurassic Park, which is also one of my favorite movies, and this theme made me feel all of the emotions that the movies made me feel, congratulations dude, you perfectly recreated what John Powell made 12 years ago, man It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, but it has, time flies
It sure has been a while since you've made one of these!
This trilogy already had fantastic music so I hope this is even better
I was correct
Such great memories of this soundtrack and movie. My little boy and I would watch the original more or less every week. John Powell is a master.
You captured every aspect about How To Train Your Dragon in this track. I love it.
Oh man how I love this! How To Train Your Dragon is THE BEST DreamWorks film of all time. These movies and their soundtrack are amazing! Thank you Sam Kim for making this, I feel thriled!
HTTYD is just one of those fictional masterpieces that feel so real and leave a huge memory in our hearts
Wow I just went and compared this one next to your old arrangement piece by piece and the difference is huge. And i'm not even a musician. LOVE IT! This is really important to me because i know i will be coming bac kfrom tiem to time listening to this, hopefully decaedes after so i really appreciate it.
This hits me right in the feels, I also recently rewatched the trilogy, as well as the KFP movies. Both trilogies are and always will be near and dear to my heart, would love to see you do a KFP medley also.
This series is so close to my heart.... yup, I grew up with it too! It's probably what inspired my love for OSTs and animated movies, and I always get excited seeing a new fan arrangement / cover, especially on this channel. 🤩 I can definitely hear the new themes in here, you've done a beautiful job once again 💫 Thank you for sharing your craft with us.
One of my favorite themes from an animated film. I’m so glad to see your take on it.
That last film always make me tear up, this arrangement of those epic tracks almost have me tearing up again!

I once was afraid to say that this was my favorite movie but now I am not because it has extremely dynamic scores
This was simply amazing. How to train your dragon is by far my favorite movie trilogy and I love that it gets recognized
Ahhh, this is so amazing! I'm so glad you remastered your outstanding original. I am absolutely obsessed with everything HTTYD related, and discovering this was the cherry on top. Growing up, I saw the first movie in theaters when I was 8. Afterwards I was instantly hooked. Even now when I'm 20, there has been nothing better than How To Train Your Dragon. In my opinion this is the best series, and has the best soundtrack ever produced. HTTYD was truly apart of my childhood, and I thank you for this!
When will this come to Spotify?
I'm forgetting, where is the melody at 1:40 from? Or what is the track called?
It’s a recurring motif but is most prominent in “Dragon Racing” from httyd 2
So incredible, I’m getting chills and on the verge of tears
