It has been scientifically and experimentally proven that by getting older we gain age at a steady rate.

This format is better than a 30 minute Theo video on every news topic, aint nobody got time for that.
that's fireship for ya dude can pack an entire 1 hour introduction lecture of a programming language in 100 seconds.
Un-subbed from Theo a while ago and I feel so much better.
Same with primetime , these guys just deliberately takes long pauses , forced elongated reactions etc pushing video length to 30-40 minutes ($$) reacting/explaining something that could be done in less than 5 minutes.

Pro tip, if you get a video speed controller extension, you can skip youtube ads at 16x speed
But what u do about the annoying sounds on the ads?
@@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji Press M on the keyboard to mute it or the extension has "X" to skip forward so if yoh tap X 2 times the ad is over before it starts
@@krishp1104 but something automated? Come on, making a macro with autohotkey for it would take 30 minutes, make it recognize the ad interface, make the browser muted while it recognize it, and unmute it when its not present
There should be something automated to mute it and skip it, why make them x16 if the macro can click on skip without any issue?
There should be a better way, that wont broke any rule (because if I use a macro to press my screen or my feet is my problem, not something youtube could ban)
@@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji The primary purpose of the extension isn't to skip ads, it's to control the speed of the video. It's just a coincidence that RUclips can't bypass the extension. You forgot the biggest Tech loss of June. Moore v. U.S., 22-800. This supreme court ruling states that corporate money parked overseas is taxable, such as Apple's money in Ireland. Current estimate is that over 350 billion in tax revenues are due.
It should be taxable. USA has lowered corporate tax rates from 35 to 21%. Only fair now that those loopholes get closed. I do wonder what impact it will have on Ireland. Perhaps Dubliners will soon be able to afford property again?
Are you serious?
Did that actually happen? Is it for all tax havens or just European ones? I also find it weird they didn't make the practice illegal but just added tax to it
Thanks for adding this

Google fights ad blockers and ad blockers became stronger. Now they’re giving ad blocker developers another reason to make the ad blockers even stronger. They can’t win that fight, they’ll only lose more and more
No ad blocker has the ability to block in-video content without spending a lot of their own money on video analysis, and even then it would be tough with the API's exposed by browsers to extensions. There are limits to what ad blockers can do. Google will likely win this fight.
@@Tony-dp1rl What do you mean by "video analysis"? Why does it cost adblockers money?
As for the extension APIs, that's not a concern because the APIs allow you to inject arbitrary code into a webpage, meaning you can run code at the same level as RUclips's.
@@Tony-dp1rl thats false
@@mollthecoderhow do you think an extension will know if an ad is playing, if it's injected into the video, and placed differently for different users, as well as varying amounts, and varying lengths of ads. Where isn't an extension that is capable of being that level of adaptive. And so to create something that is that adaptive, requires video analysis.
@@mollthecoder how would a ad blocker detect a ad that came with the video instead of loading separately client side, its impossible
Honestly I've been wondering when they were going to start doing server-side injected ads. Also to anyone who thinks this is going to stop ad blockers you've never seen what can happen when an entire tech community hates you. Remember the legend of the queen of /b/
SponsorBlock already had this base covered for years.
They ran into one brick wall, backed up, turned around, and then slammed headfirst into another
@@Code_Machine
Case in point 🤣
@@Code_MachineSponsorBlock works through community-generated segment identifiers. It would work if RUclips inserts the ad in a specific place for all users. It would not work if the ad is inserted randomly.
even if the add is "server side injected" (eg. the ad is part of the video, but with the video time bar locked), you can still make an extension to allow the user himself to move the time bar manually, without even needing an AI.
The only way for YT to prevent this would be that they timed on their backend when the first request for the video was made (ie. when the ad starts), and only allow requests for the video content once the time for the ad has passed (eg, 15 seconds). To circumvent that, ad blockers would have to get very creative (honestly the only thing I can think of is caching the first 20 sec of every video and playing that instead of the youtube video, while youtube thinks it is showing its ad).
The one reason why I blanket block all ads is because I've always known it's only a matter of time before I'm unable to do so, might as well enjoy it while it lasts. It's been almost two decades of time saved without accounting for health benefits RE blood pressure etc
RUclips: "HA, you can't skip ads if they're PART OF THE VIDEO"
SponsorBlock: "Allow me to introduce myself"
funny how the satire ad in the video is blocked by sponsorblock
It uses timestamps provided by others for that. Server ads will offset the timing for every video randomly.
SponsorBlock will unusable
@@rehenaziasmen4603 For a time. The whole concept is that RUclips will have to stay ahead. Adblock will adapt to what they do. The only strategy is to know how fast adblock is to adapt and then keep changing the strategy around or before the same time that it would take for adblock to adapt. That is it. Embedding is a simple one. The real problem is poor advertising companies. If your adverts are so bad that people want to use adblock or even pay to use RUclips premium, then you as an advertiser are doing something wrong.
@@ItzShy what "bro is yapping about" is that Sponsorblock works by the community saying that the segment between 5:49 and 6:00 is an ad so you're free to skip it.
However since the ads injected directly into the video stream can have varying length then the timestamps will be inconsistent so this technique won't work.
On SponsorBlock one might say that there's an ad from 00:00 to 01:30 because they got a 1m30 long ad while another might have a 2 minutes ad, so all those timestamps are wrong and the extension can't work properly.
@@rehenaziasmen4603 Until the ads are autodetected.

@@andrewhooper7603 Some years back, similar questions where asked: "Which Apple?", "Which Microsoft?", "Which Google?"
boy nobody using that bs
There's no way that this is a perfect defense against adblockers. Think about it: If the ads are just added to the videos, then you can use the seekbar to skip past them, and things like SponsorBlock might be able to do this automatically. If RUclips adds a way to detect the ad parts of the videos and prevent you from using the seekbar for those sections, then adblockers (or SponsorBlock) can use the same detection to re-enable it.
The video still has to go through the client no matter what, so there will always be an opportunity for adblockers to do their job. This is another setback, but not a final fix against adblockers.

"[sonnet 3.5] is easily the best way to write code out there"
I keep hearing dev personalities saying this, but is this true in practice? The benchmark Anthropic provides is Python-only. ML devs have a history of preferentially training LLMs on Python. In my experience doing web dev, Sonnet 3.5 is constantly making mistakes, I then ask gpt-4o, "does this look right?", and it easily finds the mistakes and provides correct code. I agree Sonnet 3.5 is great and a big deal, but outside python it really doesn't look on gpt-4o's level. I keep giving it another chance, and it keeps coming up short.
I dont know exactly what kind of ML algorithms anthropic uses but I highly doubt that its better than whatever openai has. I think its really as simple as more money = "better" product.
AI's excel at chain of thought. Breaking larger problems into steps will get better results. So you can ask an AI to write code, and then validate it works correctly or if anything could be done better. But yes, sonnet right off the bat is better at coding
@@tbunreall I wouldn't call it "chain of thought", more like contextual memory. If it makes a mistake in the beginning it will propagate the same mistake to the end unless its corrected.
I find it better faster, and the website consumes 16 times less RAM than chatgpt if you leave the tab open for 4 hours (my chatgpt tab was consuming 8GB of ram while claude never uses more than 500mb)
i'm currently using both sonnet 3.5 and gpt4o to develop a full stack app in vue. so far sonnet has written less buggy code compared to 4o. i can give sonnet more complex tasks compared to 4o, expecially when it comes to animations in css. so far i'd give sonnet an 8/10 and 4o a 6.5/10. this is just my experience using vue with js and css. i have not tried them with different languages/frameworks

Pretty much sums up all of the 2020s so far…
Man, do you know I have already an algorithm that skip automatically the sponsor part in RUclipsrs videos ? So Google can put ads directly on video, people are already ready to skip that lol
Whatever you say, thotbot
1) I don't think it will let you skip it. 2) it depends on how they injexct this ads, if it's directly into original file stored on servers, then yes, sponsor block will work. But if it's injected while youtube streams the video to you at some part? No, sponsorblock will not help since it's easely randomizable
Algorithm just posting the timeframes of the ad parts? 😂. They are going to randomly inject the ads so your "algorithm" won't work.
@@diablense It's for sure encoded at playtime because they have targeted ads. There's no way they precompute thousands of ads and store every possibility for evey video uploaded. That's an impossible amount of data to store.

Before we get to the video, I'll have you know creators have been embedding ads in their videos for a while now, thanks to today's sponsor
It's funny how much less I mind creator ads though. Like some creators are really picky about their sponsors or I at least know if I use their discount code that they get a kickback. Otherwise it's just youtube saying "Here's this 3 minute long unskippable ad that you've already seen for the scam of the month." and then paying the creator 0.001 cent for abusing their audience.
I get that they need to cover server costs and that advertising is their big business but they apply WAY more content moderation to creators than they do advertisers. It's kind of sick.
Imagine getting sponsor breaked during a sponsor break.
5:46 On other hand plugins like sponsor block would be much easier way to skip those ads.
I think that might not work because it probably won't be baked with the same ads/timestamps for each view.
It won't, because the ad lengths and timings will be randomly selected for every user.
It really won't. Why is everyone coping with Sponsor block? RUclips will probably only serve you the ad content for the first 15-30 seconds, and only after that, the actual content will be sent from their servers. So for those initial seconds, you won't have anything to slide forward to.
