This is one of my all time favourite films. Tung Lung - Kim Tai Chung is amazing in this film with his Taekwondo style kicks. The fights in the middle with Roy Horan and the two monks is brilliant, then all the finale fights in the tower itself, Kim Tai Chung is just astonishing in his fights and the monk fight then the fight with best bad guy, silver fox Hwang Jang Lee. The film is directed by NG, Ng see Yuen from seasonal films and choreography by legend Yuen wing ping. Kim tai Chung played the Bruce Lee figure in No retreat no surrender and was the stand in Bruce Lee in Game of death
Great review! I’ve always liked this film as a straightforward kung fu movie…the fights are great especially in the underground base. I always felt those scenes wouldn’t look out of place in an Austin Powers movie! Regarding the ETD clips I’ve always felt it’s a shame that WB haven’t put them back in an assembly cut of ETD….every frame is precious after all…
I really like the sound of the Korean version of this film. Sounds like it's legitimately trying to be its own thing, rather than a Bruceploitation knock-off.
More like it wanted to cash in on its Korean leads over Bruce Lee. I haven't watched it in full yet but I've seen clips here and there and it's really a weird insight into just how this movie was produced. It becomes obvious they didn't have a full, completed script at the ready but knew they may need stock footage insert shots of Bruce Lee among their footage, but they didn't know how much or which, so the Korean versions uses alternate shots of Kim Tai Chung (Bruce's "double") where his face isn't as obscured, and there's scenes clearly based on Bruce Lee scenes not actually used in the final Bruceploitation versions, such as ones of Kim Tai Chung in a black jumpsuit sneaking around an underground complex, intended to go with insert shots lifted from Enter The Dragon's own underground sneaking part.
Glad to hear the greenhouse fight is back in the international version. Not only is it a cracking scene, but it's a better fit here than in Game of Death.
Such a great movie, if it didn't have the Bruce Lee connection, it would have much more recognition 🤔😊👍thought the Korean Cut was really good 👌 still got to check out those Brucesploitation trailers, great that there was 4 versions of this classic! Great video mate 🤩🤩👍👍

It's a great film. So much fun to be had and the fights are fantastic. Love the cast and you can never go wrong with a Seasonal Film :)
I love Tower of Death! I always defended it when people would say it wasn’t worth watching. Some people!
I know right lol I'm a big fan of it :)
