- Eine besondere Erinnerung an den niederländischen Besuch des geliebten Filmstars Renate Müller, die heute vor 86 Jahren, am 7. Oktober 1937, im Alter von nur 31 Jahren in Berlin starb.
Renate Müller erfreute sich nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern sicherlich auch in Holland großer Beliebtheit, und deshalb kam sie im Sommer1933 auf Einladung des Radiosenders AVRO ins Studio nach Hilversum um mit dem Orchester Kovacs Lajos, (der Künstlername von Louis Schmidt (1886-1974), einige ihrer bekannten Filmlieder zu singen. Außerdem besuchte sie den Starfotografen Godfried de Groot (1894 - 1963) in Amsterdam, der eine Reihe schöner Fotos von ihr machte.
In diesem seltenen Kurzfilm interviewt der niederländische Musiker, Komponist und Journalist
Max Tak (1891-1967) Renate Müller bei ihrer Ankunft im Garten des Radiostudios in Hilversum.

Wahnsinns rarität
Leider entsprach der Text des Liedes von " Ich bin ja heut so glücklich " nicht ihrem realem Leben ab 1933 nach der Machtergreifung der Nazis die ihr Leben brutal zerstörten....
Eine wunderbare Erinnerung ist zu sehen und zu hören.....
Ich finde das Schicksal und den frühen Tod von Renate Müller sehr traurig und man erkennt nur allzu gut, wie die Angst und Unsicherheit in ihren letzten Jahren gewesen sein muss....

Ich habe noch nie eine Aufzeichnung von ihr außerhalb eines ihrer Filme bzw. ihrer Liedeinspielungen gesehen oder gehört. Daher war das hier eine ganz besonders schöne Überraschung.

As long as we remember - they will live....! Beautiful tribute to that sweet Lady and charming artist, and singer, made just on her crucial life date.
So many valuable items here - recordings, photos, documents as well as an introduction with her live speaking. Great. One thing which I cannot accept is cropping the traditional size of the film just to fit the present size.

Of course I knew in advance that you would criticize the size of this extremely rare piece of film, but you may also notice that the image does not look distorted or stretched in any case....
@@parlophonman - it is Only cut off from top and bottom, head and feet - still a sweet face of Renate was not ruined, luckily. Poor rarieties treated this way, today,
