Done Spartan trifecta and 2extra sprints, one half mudder, and now tomorrow my fist rugged maniac. My favorite race ever was called battlefrog and no longer exists:( . I had the Solomon cross 3 but just went through them after those races and now bought the Spartan craft shoes and I hope they hold up as well
@@ThatGuyHealth that's great man keep killing it! The Spartan crafts I bought I used in my first rugged maniac this past weekend in LA and I really like em. Try em out see how you compare. I think they might be a little less supportive but shed water really well
Awesome informative video! I’m in the market rn! Would you go SC 3,4 or 5? And is GTX a NECESSITY? 1st ever mud run and it’s a spartan race. Thank you 👍 God bless!
Yo, great vid! Would the speed cross Goretex be better or worse for an OCR? Water won’t get in but I’m thinking water won’t get out either. What you think?
Thanks for the view and question. What you said at the end is exactly right. Water not getting out will add weight and over time of the course lower your performance! Having the drainage system helps and keeps feet from just sitting in water throughout.
@@ThatGuyHealth appreciate the reply man. I picked up some speed cross 5's yesterday for $79! I had a follow up question for you: would you recommend competing with a hydropack with a bladder or with bottles for a Spartan race? Thanks again!
Good day. I also have wide feet and the shoes fit them very comfortably. I am actually still using them till this present day. A very durable and reliable company. Thanks for the question and being a subscriber.
Good day! Thanks for the feedback and being a subscriber. I did order mine true to size and they fit awesome. I still use them till this day. The quality has really impressed me. I hope they still have maintained that level of build.
Thinking about doing a Spartan run at some point, but it's 2022 now and this video is from 2019, so I'm wondering if Solomon is still a good shoe brand to pursue for those runs.
Might want to give a green beret challenge a try before making statements like that. Courses built by special forces operators, some runs are teamsand you might have to build things during, some are supers like 24hr and there are solos like the operator which is what I run. The west georgia mud park was 105° and constant elevation changes. Worst of all was it was two laps not one.
Stephen Goin I was speaking of the well known runs as comparisons. I’m Definitely willing to look into it. But, the Spartan AGOGE is three days of elevation changes, humps, living in the wilderness, mentally challenging, physically challenging and I’m pretty sure a special forces operators would give the nod to. The green beret challenge, I’ll check it out. Thanks for bringing some interesting information to the thread! 💪🏾
Thank you! A lot of good information as preparing for my first Spartan in March😁
Yoooo! I wish you much success! Thanks for watching and being a subscriber!
Yooo, same! Good luck!

That’s crazy. I’ve done multiple workouts, cut the grass for years in them, 3 sprints, super, beast, trifecta and HHR and mine are still going.

Savage race is very similar to the spartan as far as difficulty goes but they have a lower budget and only max out at a 10k
Thanks for the share. But, the Spartan has higher levels of difficulty than the savage for sure.
Thanks for the great recommendation!
Any time!

Wish you the best and thanks for the feedback
Hi, I will do a mud run Spartan race, can u recommend what socks are good to wear. Are waterproof socks good for the mud run? Thanks!
Awesome! Best wishes to you and thanks for viewing the channel. Hope you subscribe. I wore under armor heat gear socks 🧦

How often would you recommend training with those shoes prior to using them in a Spartan Race?
Probably about a few weeks. Break in and see if they feel right for you to compete in.

Awesome video! Do these shoes run narrow? I have wide feet. Would you recommend buying a size up? Enjoy your day!
Good day. I also have wide feet and the shoes fit them very comfortably. I am actually still using them till this present day. A very durable and reliable company. Thanks for the question and being a subscriber.
Good info. My first Spartan is in July. Sounds like these could fit the bill. Do they run true to size?

You have any recommendations for kids shoes he's 10 doing the 2 mile competitive
If it’s a mud race, check Merrill or if Spartan still sells there variation. If on road running, check into Asic, New Balance or Brooks.

I would say so. I am still currently using mine. the same ones 😆

Spartan race this June in Ohio. I’m ready to kick bubblegum and chew ass. And I’m all out of bubblegum.
Lol 😆. Go get it!
Is this the best shoe for my first Spartan super ?
It sure did an awesome job for me in the trifecta run. I also used them in the BEAST!! Thanks for being a subscriber.
What are those trophies beside you?
Good day. Those are men’s physique bodybuilding trophies 🏆. Thanks for being a subscriber
