wish i had a pit in my yard lol. i like where u put the snorks better than the normal spot you see on the rzrs. makes grabbing a beer out of the cooler in the back much easier where you put it.
Oh I agree, it can get confusing. Only a certain percent of it is actually the performance, the rest is about personal preference. Some like the backs bc the dig harder, but others don't like them bc they are a rough ride on flat surfaces, so it's little things like that that go into someone saying what is or isn't the best tire. Maybe try one set out for a while if you don't like them sell them to a buddy and move on the next set. That way you don't lose too much money :D Hope this helps
@SneakyGoomba The belt exhaust, in the stock location, is very low. Water about 30" deep would get the belt wet. The belt intake is a little higher, but not much. Also, the engine intake is a little lower than the glove box. So, with the snorkels, we can run in water up to the steering wheel with no problems.
@Jaggerrx Have you ever been through our "water hole"? No. There is about 18" of mud in the bottom of some very deep ruts. I highly doubt whatever ATV you drive could even think about making it through.
I just bought same model can-am commander and would really appreciate any info on the make, model of lift & where to buy/order. I would also like the size tire/brand & wheel size. Nice set up man....
@GorillaAxle Some trails have 50" width max trailheads, and the commander wont fit through, only the RZR will. If they made it the same width as the RZR then it would have been better.
I'm not really familiar with any of them, but the Outlaw's a little bit, the weight of the silverbacks vary between sizes, ranges anywhere from 30-49 lbs, (smallest to biggest) Of course I'm going to tell you to go with the Silverbacks, they're my tire lol. We had a customer do an evaluation of the Backs vs the mud zillas, you can find that on our facebook page. It's very informative.
@markfaulken I had a Commander 1000 XT at my local MX track in August. It outperformed half the ATVs! Good luck getting the RZR with only 55HP (30HP less than the Commander 1000, and 16HP less than the Commander 800) to keep up!
@zw1993able that pit does not have a concrete bottom its soft mud belt system is the same as the outlander and renegade systems its not a constant tension belt system, watch a can am video and you will hear it especially in a machine that has snorkles both of my outlanders sound the same way
i know gorilla and catvos's lifts are over 3k but why? is it mainly the gorilla axles? superatv has a 6" lift coming out with rhino axles but it still has a 1 year warranty and its only $1,600. im not trying to bash gorilla or catvos, just wondering why the same lift is twice the money. ive had one on my rzr and it did fine with 30 backs.
is it just me or when it turns around right at 1:03 it looks like the left tire is turned in a little more i know its just a test so tie rods aint gotta be perfect, just wondering
no, it was suppose to be ready a very long time ago. and we had it a few months ago but on test runs we found some parts weren't up to snuff so we had to redo them, another set back :(
@santerre1974 True, if you have your own land or have a friend that owns land. Do that on a trail system and you'll get some heavy fines and help with environMENTALS getting trails closed down.
@Trx450rallday Nope. Yamaha hasn't introduced a new big bore SxS or ATV in a few years now. They don't plan on releasing a new Rhino until the lawsuits are cleaned up.
@itsme78932 i agree but you know what i mean where im from trails are wide mostly and alot of woods not the same as Washington ... cool dude take care...
@GorillaAxle power wise, oh yea commander will beat every other sxs no doubt, but it just doesnt look like a sporty/mud sxs, looks like a mix between a jeep and a bumble bee..
@zw1993able dude if 32s are spinning in 4 wheel dive, its not an easy hole, and that thngs barely on the throttle and they are turning it like they are nothing, and that belt whine, well every can am has that no matter the clutching
i dont like it that much.. too bulky, the only thing it competes with is the prowler. im no where near a polaris fan but i think id rather have a rzr s, if they made one smaller more compact to compete with the rzr they would have something worth buying.. IMO this is can ams flop
monroe, we dont' really work on bikes here, we do the installs of our parts here for people but no motor work and stuff like that. You can call the shop and ask for brandon to see if he's willing to help you out 318-345-8186
It definately sounds like a CanAm..lol..nice vid
wish i had a pit in my yard lol. i like where u put the snorks better than the normal spot you see on the rzrs. makes grabbing a beer out of the cooler in the back much easier where you put it.
Sweet...Serious Can-Am power!!!
The Soggy Bottom Boyz
Pretty sure you need to have a batman cape to drive that crazy new canam!!

it would be fun to cover that mud pit up with leaves and such, and then trick people to run across it xD
Awesome looking set up! when will we have a price?
over the years i found that the ranger works the best for me but that looks bad ass........might get one
@Jaggerrx Have you ever been through our "water hole"? No. There is about 18" of mud in the bottom of some very deep ruts. I highly doubt whatever ATV you drive could even think about making it through.
looks like one hell of a machine makes me wanna sell the jeep
I just bought same model can-am commander and would really appreciate any info on the make, model of lift & where to buy/order. I would also like the size tire/brand & wheel size. Nice set up man....
Still waiting for you guys to come out with a full locker replacement for visco lok
Thanks for the backup excisionqt! :D
@11huntman It is a prototype given to us by Can Am. Retail for a 1000XT Commander is a little bit more than $7g too, lol.
@GorillaAxle
Some trails have 50" width max trailheads, and the commander wont fit through, only the RZR will. If they made it the same width as the RZR then it would have been better.

Cant wait to get your expo video up and to start selling your products!
have ya ll had any problems out of it yet like with all the electrical stuff getting wet
@Branmuffin911 It has the belt intake, belt exhaust (hot air), and motor intake snorkeled up high for deep water use.
sounds like an electric rc boat.....when is the exhaust coming?
@markfaulken I had a Commander 1000 XT at my local MX track in August. It outperformed half the ATVs! Good luck getting the RZR with only 55HP (30HP less than the Commander 1000, and 16HP less than the Commander 800) to keep up!
@zw1993able that pit does not have a concrete bottom
its soft mud
belt system is the same as the outlander and renegade systems
its not a constant tension belt system, watch a can am video and you will hear it especially in a machine that has snorkles
both of my outlanders sound the same way
that's never even been talked about but i'll pass it along to r&d
Sounds awesome!
i know gorilla and catvos's lifts are over 3k but why? is it mainly the gorilla axles? superatv has a 6" lift coming out with rhino axles but it still has a 1 year warranty and its only $1,600. im not trying to bash gorilla or catvos, just wondering why the same lift is twice the money. ive had one on my rzr and it did fine with 30 backs.
is it just me or when it turns around right at 1:03 it looks like the left tire is turned in a little more i know its just a test so tie rods aint gotta be perfect, just wondering
So how much is this going to cost me for this setup and when is it going to be available? Minus the commander of course!
any chance you can update the fans and tell us if Gorilla has commited to selling this lift kit to customers. video is 2 years old now
did youall have to do any sealing to the belt housing
@bedong77 That's some bigwheel you have. You may want to hold on to that one.
is that the exhaust coming out by your face!
@Etergen69 You probably had a great view of what the Commander was doing since you were behind it the whole time.
wow did u give the commander steriods ?
Awesome Mod !
@11huntman isn't that what they're used for?
why isn't this in HD?
no, it was suppose to be ready a very long time ago. and we had it a few months ago but on test runs we found some parts weren't up to snuff so we had to redo them, another set back :(
is that the 1000 and how is the powerband on it
how much wider is it than the rzr? is that commander at ya ll's shop?
@hurmslawncare1 The kit will be around $3200 and will include all new a-arms, trailing arms, steering, axles, and a 1 year warranty.
how big is the lift you got in that commander?
have you tried mudzilla's??
is there much of a diff??
me personally no, but we had a customer that did a comparison between the two, you can find his report on our facebook page.
that is one nice commander
If this is down the road from OHS, i live about 5 minutes from here
@Jaggerrx man that water sits there year around and the ground is pretty soft in louisiana its a pit
it will be a 5" lift, but no, hopefully soon, keep an eye out on our website and facebook for future details :)
it looks like it has a unibrow with that weird bumper haha
@MrPanPan08
It's a Canam...
Eu quero um dese,a onde posso acha no brasil ..?
@justinmatthewl
Thats the belt, not the exhaust.
How much money have you invested in that thing?
it's only for testing snorkel kits to make sure there are no leaks
is the winch waterproof?
just because its the same size doesn't mean its the same quality
@cheesexxballs It is a prototype given to us by Can Am to build products for.
@TheMrbear186 listen again sounds like power and the best machine out there to me ...
guys, if you go through the pit please take the turn wide on the way out so your dont rip the grass up, thanks
@santerre1974
True, if you have your own land or have a friend that owns land. Do that on a trail system and you'll get some heavy fines and help with environMENTALS getting trails closed down.
looks great
What rims and tires are those?
I want one but I'm broke as hell o well still got me a nice 3 wheeler though
Are your tires sivlerbacks
@Trx450rallday Nope. Yamaha hasn't introduced a new big bore SxS or ATV in a few years now. They don't plan on releasing a new Rhino until the lawsuits are cleaned up.
@carlyleatv Both Can Ams are faster than the 800 RZR. The 900 should be faster. 3 more HP and less weight
@markfaulken yes the left tire????? ur right !!!! thay should fix it
@itsme78932 i agree but you know what i mean where im from trails are wide mostly and alot of woods not the same as Washington ... cool dude take care...
@benellihunter21 id like to know that also , you have to on the atv ... but after that nothing come close to it...
Lmao at the random black guy.. snuck up on me at 22 sec mark.
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what rime are thoes?
@GorillaAxle power wise, oh yea commander will beat every other sxs no doubt, but it just doesnt look like a sporty/mud sxs, looks like a mix between a jeep and a bumble bee..
lol did anyone see the black dude at 0:06 lol great video tho
@benellihunter21 Just snorkeled the intake and exhaust, but nothing had to be done to the housing itself.
That thing is boss
@sj2489 It is priced in line with everything else on the market and it will handily outperform all of the competition.
@travis091491 Easy now, that black guy assembled the axles that are in that Commnader!
looks like ya'll need a more badass pit..
@markfaulken The Commander 800 and 1000 outperform the RZR in every category. Hardly a "flop" as you call it.
@zw1993able dude if 32s are spinning in 4 wheel dive, its not an easy hole, and that thngs barely on the throttle and they are turning it like they are nothing, and that belt whine, well every can am has that no matter the clutching
That pit ant shit I could hand stand across it
Its not, they decided to can it bc of the commanders rear crappy diff, sorry
omg i swear i didnt see the black guy! only his clothes
like a boss
@11huntman add 10 k and then your more in the ball park
all water no mud
@itsme78932 how .. ? i didnt say tare everthing down ...
i dont like it that much.. too bulky, the only thing it competes with is the prowler. im no where near a polaris fan but i think id rather have a rzr s, if they made one smaller more compact to compete with the rzr they would have something worth buying.. IMO this is can ams flop
@11huntman if they cost $7000 everybody and their mom would have one try around 15-16 grand for a new commander
Whats up with the rc car winning I hear I don't like that.
@GorillaAxle no doubt, try 2 times that. Plus tax.
@jerryscamaro1 It is a 1000
@zw1993able Come give it a try anytime on your ATV.
@GorillaAxle
1 year warranty lol. Not too confident in your products durabilty I see.
@Infernal8455 nah it sounds like a turbo charger. well atleast to be because i dont play with toys ;]
@megyesijames Complete custom lift with bigger tires.
7 people got stuck
U call that a pit
monroe, we dont' really work on bikes here, we do the installs of our parts here for people but no motor work and stuff like that. You can call the shop and ask for brandon to see if he's willing to help you out 318-345-8186
