My grandfather left Bolton for the U.S in the 70s. The only story he told me was that farmers were walking there cattle and a cow got it head stuck in a fence so instead of removing the fence they removed the cows head lol
My home town from 1944 -1970
Was a great town then ,go back occasionally to see friends
