Yes, I know - it was a bit 'sad' - when you compare it to his earlier youthful and animated styles and, in particular, Winifred Atwell's version of 1956. A few extra twiddly bits and the little intro and final bit that is usually used would have made all the difference. Even Laurie Holloway's 1970s version was much brighter and skilfull. However, many listeners still like and want to listen to Russ's music, and history must be preserved. I know what Marcus will say ... but there we are.
It is much better than some of the rubbish I see put up recently including old duwop and late 1950s catawallngs on scratched ancient 78rpm records!😊 Lol😂!
