6:24 something that is NEVER mentioned in youtube videos is that your phone needs to be unlocked before being able to put in the SIM card. even an e-SIM won't work if your phone is unlocked. So at least with americans with AT&T, if you're still paying for your phone, your phone is NOT unlocked...it needs to be fully paid off before you can unlock your phone.
Hi, you mentioned you stayed at La Casita ,.. did you go through Airbnb or did you walk in and inquire about renting a unit or did you use Facebook market place , I’m pretty frugal myself and would like to avoid the extra Airbnb charges if possible ,… thanks !
Hi thanks, nice to know those things. I'm planning to go next year too Hua Hin and alone for a couple of months, so the cost gonna be the halve for 1 person if i see it like this way. Not that i'm a scrooge hahaha but my budget is about 1300 $ a month, not so big but enough to have a nice time overthere i guess. Thanks a lot for this information guys and all the best !! Just make the click to following you now ✌
We spend at least $2,000 CAD in Hua Hin, including renting a vehicle, not including airfare and health insurance, Hua Hin is #1 in SE Asia for my wife and I, nothing comes close (so far), and we have been to many places!!!!
So we're actually converting to USD for the video, because we also use CAD. So it was $1600 CAD but we didn't rent a car. Next time we will rent one as there is so much nature around that's not easy to get to without a vehicle. We love Hua Hin and it's going to be a destination for us a few times a year!
That is very similar to my monthly UK budget but in £ instead of $. I have family in Hua Hin so i might ask them their budget. But they do go to expat charity events etc so theirs may be around £2,000 or perhaps less as they own their own property.
do not rent a motorcycle, 2 friends were killed in December/January, stay away from Motorcycles in SE Asia. Also never buy a SIM at the airport, go to any shopping mall and go to AIS, $10 USD for unlimited data for 1 month!!!!!
Yeah, that's always an issue 😃 Depending on the location, you can get a very cheap esim on airalo (if your phone supports esim) to get you through the first few days. If you've never used it before, I believe you get a nice discount on your first purchase.
You guys are great!
Thank you so much!

Excellent point. I didn't even realize phones can still be locked lol. Thanks for the information!

We used Airbnb. There are a lot of units listed. You should get a monthly discount from the host if you book for more than 28 days.

What's great about Hua Hin is that you can spend as much or little as you desire, upscale or budget friendly. We can't wait to go back!

Nice tip for the AIS.
You couldn't pay us to get on a motorcycle here. We'll happily walk, taxi or rent a car.
thanks for the water tip. I buy the sim card at the airport cuz using grab to get to hotel.
Yeah, that's always an issue 😃
