I dont watch dance moms, but this poor girl is 13 years old and is doing a hobbie outside of dance and all those cameras. It's like you joining a sports club outside of school. Yes there are things that could have been done better, but she's THIRTEEN, she's not a flipping professional makeup artist. All these women saying "omg ii'm cringing at her blending and dragging" I'm cringing at the fact that you're all grown women hating on a 13 year old for making an innocent video. Honestly, her makeup skills at 13 are amazing! If you haven't been to a dance competition, you need a lot of intense makeup to stand out on stage. So even if her contour isn't blended out properly, it's perfect for dance competitions
They have a Lot of makeup because on stage there are light and if you don't have makeup on you will look like a ghost. However, when you have makeup (a lot), the judges can see your nose, and yes, mouth, and ears. This is what my mom tells me when I have recitals for dance she like, "Its not for looks it so the people can see you." That's why they need a lot of makeup.

I want to add to Kendall's disclaimer about her make up. When you are performing on stage and bright lights are shining on you in a dark auditorium, the lights actually make your face too bright of you don't wear any make up or have on very little. Stage make up gives you character, it doesn't drown out your colour and also let's people who are sitting in the cirlce/upper cirlces/gods, a chance to see your face. That's for any kind of performance, and not just dance competitions or t.v..
For anyone who didn't know, competitions and concerts require extra makeup / contour so people in the back can see your facial expressions clearly, and everyone can understand the emotion your trying to get across since you're so far. Also, stage lights make basically everyone look like a ghost.

It was probably hard for her to tell if it was blended or not with the mirror kinda far away. You can tell because she didn't even notice until she watched the video back. Don't be a critic boo boo.
I think she would have had a better contour if she could had found her brush sooner. Because some makeup products dry faster than others. Not to be rude.
tips: 1. the brush wasn't necessary to put on the moisturizer lol brushes carry bacteria and sometimes it's just best to use your hands. 2. you shouldn't drag your beauty blender across or down your face. (especially your eyes. the skin is very thin there, and it can cause wrinkling at an early age) 3. the contour...... when I do my contour, I use my beauty blender to apply it. your line was wayyy to thin, which just makes it harder to blend. It still looked like two thin lines on your cheeks try using your beauty blender to apply, and blend out your contour. And you shouldn't need to go all the way down your cheek, just halfway is perfectly fine. (i just realized that you did point that out, but my bad. 4. the blush wasn't blended in enough either. it kinda looked like you just swiped it on and left it. 5. you can barely see the highlight. and it kind of just looks like theres a line of highlight, a line of blush, and a thin line of contour. 6. it didn't look like your lips were moisturized. your lips should always be moisturized and hydrated. especially with the kylie lip kit. her lip products are matte, which are going to already make your lips look dry. what I would do is moisturize my lips before putting anything on my face and let your lips just absorb it while you put the rest of your makeup. before you put the lipstick on, you can wipe off the remaining moisturizer. these are JUST TIPS! i'm not trying to tell her how to do her makeup, everyone does their makeup a different way.

Ok, 1. She knows her contour isn't blended because she even mentioned it. 2. She's 13, and 3. Dancers or anyone on stage typically wears more dramatic, non-blended makeup because all the lights make their faces washed out and flat. Even wearing normal makeup with blended contour or whatever the hell else will make your face look flat, so dancers have to use more dramatic looks, use darker lines and can't blend because from a distance, under all the lights, makes their faces look defined and normal. From up close it may be much but once under all the lights, the people watching thinks it looks normal. And I know this because I myself am a dancer! So at least WATCH the video, where she says herself how her contour isn't blended or just know the fact that she's a DANCER (common sense from title & channel) before leaving an ignorant comment. Sorry if this may seem harsh, but I've had a bad day, and some people are just annoying...
+graciee No no no. On stage always make sure to blend your makeup. Stage makeup is usually very dramatic so you can easily see if it's blotchy and not blended. Yes you do put more product on your face than usually but make sure to blend it in. I've learned the hard way, my mom said I looked like I had tiger stripes when I got off stage at a competition.

I want to add to Kendall's disclaimer about her make up. When you are performing on stage and bright lights are shining on you in a dark auditorium, the lights actually make your face too bright of you don't wear any make up or have on very little. Stage make up gives you character, it doesn't drown out your colour and also let's people who are sitting in the cirlce/upper cirlces/gods, a chance to see your face.
That's for any kind of performance, and not just dance competitions or t.v..
For anyone who didn't know, competitions and concerts require extra makeup / contour so people in the back can see your facial expressions clearly, and everyone can understand the emotion your trying to get across since you're so far. Also, stage lights make basically everyone look like a ghost.

tips:
1. the brush wasn't necessary to put on the moisturizer lol brushes carry bacteria and sometimes it's just best to use your hands.
2. you shouldn't drag your beauty blender across or down your face. (especially your eyes. the skin is very thin there, and it can cause wrinkling at an early age)
3. the contour...... when I do my contour, I use my beauty blender to apply it. your line was wayyy to thin, which just makes it harder to blend. It still looked like two thin lines on your cheeks try using your beauty blender to apply, and blend out your contour. And you shouldn't need to go all the way down your cheek, just halfway is perfectly fine. (i just realized that you did point that out, but my bad.
4. the blush wasn't blended in enough either. it kinda looked like you just swiped it on and left it.
5. you can barely see the highlight. and it kind of just looks like theres a line of highlight, a line of blush, and a thin line of contour.
6. it didn't look like your lips were moisturized. your lips should always be moisturized and hydrated. especially with the kylie lip kit. her lip products are matte, which are going to already make your lips look dry. what I would do is moisturize my lips before putting anything on my face and let your lips just absorb it while you put the rest of your makeup. before you put the lipstick on, you can wipe off the remaining moisturizer.
these are JUST TIPS! i'm not trying to tell her how to do her makeup, everyone does their makeup a different way.

Ok, 1. She knows her contour isn't blended because she even mentioned it. 2. She's 13, and 3. Dancers or anyone on stage typically wears more dramatic, non-blended makeup because all the lights make their faces washed out and flat. Even wearing normal makeup with blended contour or whatever the hell else will make your face look flat, so dancers have to use more dramatic looks, use darker lines and can't blend because from a distance, under all the lights, makes their faces look defined and normal. From up close it may be much but once under all the lights, the people watching thinks it looks normal. And I know this because I myself am a dancer! So at least WATCH the video, where she says herself how her contour isn't blended or just know the fact that she's a DANCER (common sense from title & channel) before leaving an ignorant comment. Sorry if this may seem harsh, but I've had a bad day, and some people are just annoying...

No no no. On stage always make sure to blend your makeup. Stage makeup is usually very dramatic so you can easily see if it's blotchy and not blended. Yes you do put more product on your face than usually but make sure to blend it in. I've learned the hard way, my mom said I looked like I had tiger stripes when I got off stage at a competition.
