Making glass paperweights. Part 1, A thousand flowers [videorecording] / producer, J.J.Tarsitano.
Filmed in Crieff, Scotland at the Perthshire Paperweights factory.
The glassmakers demonstrate the use of millefiori canes in making flowers: putting canes into a mold; stretching and cutting the cane; arranging the canes; covering with clear and then colored glass. Also shown are half-weights, end of the day weights and a solid glass ball weight of several layers. Audio and visual portions are not always synchronized.

Omg! Real blast from the past! Makes me feel very very old I worked putting the designs in the moulds from 1983-1988. It has inspired a few pieces of artwork I now make have a look on Facebook at Art Shed
