I was six years old, this was my first Bronco game that wasn't a pre-season game, Temp dropped something like 50 degrees from Kickoff to end of the game. So I got a warm opener, a snow game and slaughtering the Patriots!! This is the most I've seen of it since, thank you!!
I have been trying to track this down for years. I currently have 3 sources. I found the first bit in John Thompson's collection from when he was the Seattle General Manager in the part of the collection I obtained from him years ago. One day maybe the entire broadcast will show up.
Thank you. I had just graduated college that spring and I lived in the far west area of Houston. The Oilers game was blacked out on local television but I was able to find out that Austin television would not only have the Oilers game but would have the Broncos game right afterward. So that Sunday morning I drove to the Cottonwood Inn in LaGrange, TX (yes, *that* LaGrange!), got a room and watched both games on the 16-inch tv in the room. The motel had a restaurant attached so I ate there for dinner, checked out then drove home. What a fun day I had!
Thank you for your hard work trying to get these games and then edit them into a Red Zone-like presentation. I know you tried your best on the two games that mattered most to me. What a collection of interesting games though! In the Pre-scripted Era*, the outcomes were often not in doubt by the 4th quarter. However, practically every game had my attention for this week. I loved the 80s telecasts so I am hoping this series continues well into the '80s. No pressure, though.
Wish I had more of those 2 broadcasts. That is all I have been able to find in all my years of doing this. Went through most of the admin and roster in Houston looking for old broadcasts without any luck. Don't expect much past 1982.

Love the opening commercial
NFL was so much better at this time.
Hell yes it was. Social media has basically touched and ruined everything imo.
