I'm not a parent and I have the same opinion like them. I don't think Indian parents overall HATE gaming but they are more concerned regarding it, as it doesn't have any end goal that will lead to any productivity. Talking about Gaming (playing games) as a career goal, we can already see how few the numbers are out there on the streaming platforms who have gaming channels and making money, while the others are still struggling, hardly getting two digit views on their live stream. Now speaking about the game devlopment in India, those Indian game companies are barely surviving in the industry. The only chance for boosting the career in this industry for skilled game devs & game artist, is to get in the established company outside India.
