I prefer the verse riff played this way, but, "correctly", the open Es are actually played on the seventh fret on the A string, same place as the higher E.
Also, during the chorus, Cliff pedals the open A string, after a dotted quarter on the high E, D, C and B.

Serop Pasha Cliff used a big muff pedal into a morley power wah, then into a compressor. Sometimes he used an Ibanez tube screamer in place of the muff pedal.

Slight distortion, and more middle than bass on the amp settings, and I get the sense the presence of room reverb in the force. Whether the bass is set to active or not is a bit of guesswork.

I would miss out the first instance of the open A string at the start of each bar of the chorus.
So 7_7(0)7(0)7(0)7(0)7(0)7(0) 5_5(0)5(0)5(0)5(0)5(0)5(0)5(0) 3_3(0)etc.
Helps to punctuate it better, perhaps?
And my absolute favourite bit of the song is the slide up from A to B (7th to 9th fret on the D string) at the end of the upwards progression halfway through the chorus (just before "On through the dead of night..."). That sliding sound doesn't come across very clearly in this cover, but I think that might be because of the distortion used, rather than you missing it out.
