My kids are all grown. I still give them stockings. I wrap all of the little gifts. I used to do that so I could get an extra few minutes of sleep xmas morning from being up half the night wrapping, etc. I give them things like card/mini games, fun back scratchers, life saver books, hair accessories, socks, and candy. Love the idea of the Christmas Eve box wish I thought of it when my kids were younger they r to old to start that but wonderful idea and love the book idea kids don't read enough so good for you
