When people come in and want to retain the Rinehart mufflers on their bike, I will update the baffle from the DBX to a Twin Cam Louvered baffle, part number 100-0180. This baffle really helps to bring the torque around and fix the lower RPMs while still giving a decent sound. This does require shortening the baffle each time to fit the M8 Rinehart muffler. Each baffle will vary and the amount of material required to take off will also vary from muffler to muffler.
Absolutely, its something we've talked about in a few videos now and its really important to understand that your baffles and exhaust do play an important role in how your bike operates, as much as your cams.
Oh man With that Reinhardt crap looks like my dyno chart on my 124 with 482 cam when I had the KW aggressor and tab zombies Got the medium baffles in Retune Torque look like a table top from 2k (120tq) on with gentle rise in tq to 140 at 4k. Exhaust setup makes insane difference in these m8 bikes
I have 2019 Street Glide 114 with Rinehart DBX 4.5 slip ons and FuelMoto headpipe. After installing S&S 475 cam I felt the low end tourque was low and the bike was not smooth. I installed FuelMoto 6” tourque inserts into the baffles and it made the power come up with more low and tourque and made it very smooth on acceleration. But, the sound got little quieter.
Great video as always. I have a 2016 softail slim with an andrew's 57H cam. vance & hines 2-1 pro exhaust and a chain conversion. is there a better performing exhaust?
Great info !! But I have a question cause I can’t seem to find an answer ANYWHERE… I got the LO RNG message after a ride and my bike won’t start although it has fresh batteries in the key fob and the on the bike. Full tank as well. Fuses are okay as also. If anyone has a remedy for this it would mean the world to me… and I’m too far from PA to bring her there(2020 Road King Special) Thanks in advance
I have 2024 Road Glide with 4.5 Tab slip ons with the Zombie baffles what header, air cleaner and cam would you recommend? By some off videos I’ve seen I should take out the zombie baffle and put the quiet one in
That makes sense as to why my bike sucks ass below 3k rpm. Ive got rinehart dbx 45s. Sounds like i need to upgrade to a khrome werks. Any comparisons of a 2-1 vs 2-2 system?
2-1 KW outlaw trq cones up fast then straight across 2-1-2 little bit softer on the front rpm but makes great mid and top power both great exhaust stick with KW awesome quality

Thanks Dave excellent information!!
Glad the information was helpful Eric! Thanks for the watch!
Great exaust comparisons.. it definitely shows the importance of the right components of a build like exaust, cam, breather and of course the tune
Yea these m8 are super sensitive to all that
The wrong element in a combo will absolutely destroy the rideability
