That`s because He moved to the United States at the age of 25.
The older a person immigrates to a different place, the harder it is to change his or her accent.
Eddie and Alex Van Halen were both born in Amsterdam, Netherlands and moved to the United States at the age of 7 and 9 respectively and that`s why they had a strong North American due to the fact of having been living there (except Eddie who dies in 2020) most of their lives.
Steve Stevens... one of the most underrated guitarists and musicians today. From flamenco to rock, great player.

Steve Stevens is not only a shredder, but he also has a signature sound i.e. you can hear a few notes and you'd recognize it's him playing

Saw him in Frankfurt a few weeks ago with my girlfriend and her 8 year old daughter. She was rocking out from the first song on, that’s a sign of a great artist in my opinion. There were quite a few kids in the audience too! Billy’s a legend in my book!
I grew up through the 80’s. So many fond childhood memories from his music. Most underrated rock star ever.

I saw Generation X a dozen times or more in 77/78 , they were a great band, "Kiss me deadly" is still one of my favourite tracks .

Met him several times back in the day before he went to the USA, even got a lift in the car down to the gig in Middlesbrough Crypt and back stage. A very good man to others, always found time to talk to people.
Great memories of Billy Idol from the 70's & 80's especially the Rebel Yell era, finally got to see Billy and his amazing band performing for the 1st time last week in Cardiff and was blown away, he's still got that voice and stage presence every bit. Really enjoyed his newer material too, good to see that he's able to bring that alongside all the classics, if you get a chance to see him and the band, don't miss it. 👍
You make me wish I got tickets now, was a huge fan starting in his Gen X days but loved him more for his solo days, saw him at his only U.K. gig back in 1990 which will always be imprinted on my mind never to be forgotten. He literally was my main Idol. Wasn’t sure if going into see him presently would shatter all the ingrained awesomeness of that 90’s gig

I saw Billy in Hamburg 2 weeks ago. I've been to around 10 of his concerts over the years. He never disappoints!!!

Couple of friends met Billy in an airport lounge here in NZ, when he last played, he was very sweet to them took time and posed for photos, my mates wife looked like the cat that got the cream,

I remember buying the Hot In The City 45 when I was a young teen when it came out because he had a cool name, without knowing what the song or what he sounded like. I’m 54 now and still a fan, it’s great to go along on the journey throughout the years with artists like Billy, I’m thrilled that he’s still going strong!

As an Aussie born in 1962, I absolutely loved Billy Idol back then. Well still do! His music brings back so, so many good memories every time I hear him. White Wedding in particular got a flogging at my 21st & then Rebel Yell at numerous friend’s 21st’s! 👏🏼💪🏼🍻😎🇦🇺
