It’s a pleasure to listen to the stories of Hank Shaffer. I hope he is now in a special place. Thank you for that special invitation to visit Arizona Hank. I got the opportunity to visit Arizona a few years ago, but The Superstition Mountains is on my bucket list. All the best from Guatemala, Central America.
I sure do miss Hank. this is my home area and I moved from there in 1984 to pursue medicine. many times, I have wished I had never gone to med school. my 1st love was those Superstition Mts. now at 72 and legally blind I miss those Mts. and I miss the stories told by Hank that brought my past back to life.
Thanks Hank, sure miss you Hombre. Another great new story that kept me captivevated. And connected to my youth. When I used to go tubing down the Verde and Salt Rivers every weekend. Much abliged partner 🤠👍🐎🏜️
What he said at the end is exactly why I love historical places. I have to refrain from touching things 😂 because I love to touch things for the connection but obviously you can’t always do that.
Wished I would have seen one of the live shows as a kid in the 70/80's. Grew up in Oklahoma and love the cowboy and indians lore of the SouthWest. Miss listening to Hank tell stories. Love the show. Much luv
Hey Larry 👋 thank you for sharing 😢 still to this day missing Hank, you both are incredible and appreciated buddy, lived there for 25 years, back home watching from Ohio, Smitty out 👋👋👋
Those guys that went into that canyon with the ladder that was hanging down need to go back up there and look at the surrounding rocks and see if they can glean some more info if they haven't solved that cross
Hank Sheffer was an amazing storyteller. He is deeply missed. His stories will endure like petroglyphs etched on our hearts.
So true my friend he left an impression on everyone he met !

I’m so glad I got to meet Hank, right before he passed away. He was at the museum and I heard his distinctive voice. Got my pic taken with him also

I grew up in Show Low, AZ. There was quite a few Wipples living there then. My grade school principle was a Whipple.
