If anyone else is curious about learning more about f/stop so basically the lens creates something called a depth of field which is the length of distance of what is being captured on the camera and how much of it is in focus. A lower number like f/5 will only have what’s immediately in front of it in focus but something like f/85 will better capture something in the background
I think using the mic in a group setting isn't worth, you have to keep moving it back and forth just to hear each other. The camera would of probably picked up your voices just fine without it.
