It’s a bold move to kill off a main character halfway through the series, it’s an even bolder move to resurrect them the next episode.

So from what i can tell
Wartortle went back in time to the moment before charmander died. However he didn’t sync up properly and saves him instead. then he would get erased from existence since he shouldn’t exist because his timeline has been overwritten like going back into an old save and saving over your newer progress
Then charmander would die in a different way so this new squirtle would get depressed and go through his character arc, chimchar dies, squirtle evolves, etc and eventually he meets dialga (who, being the god of time, remembers every time this happened ) so he goes back in time again (but from wartortle’s perspective the first time) fails to sync up and saves charmander from the new death but because this wasn’t meant to happen things begin to break down and leaves a gateway for missingno to break reality

I completely agree with everything you say… part of me is willing to take it one step further and say that the Starter Squad we’ve been following along isn’t THE ORIGINAL. In other words, what you said has happened before ALREADY. I think this then explains why Dialga seems to know what Wartortle wants to say and do despite the start of the episode being the first time Wartortle (and we as an audience) knows what’s going on

Honestly, this series makes me feel so bad for Whiskers. First episode she’s in, she has to fight someone more than ready to kill her, second time she appears, she almost dies protecting caterpie,third time, she’s has to watch squirtle kill her friend and apparently dies,herself at some point, and now she seemingly dies trying to kill someone she probably sees as the murderer of her family

I just realized the initial time blast wasn't actually a attack on Wartortle but rather a save so he can hop back
I think one of the reasons that charmander was able to take so many hits is because of the Pokémon he’s killed. If you check what Pokémon give what EV’s, Caterpies Give 1 HP EV, while Metapod Gives 2 Defense EV’s. Butterfrees also give 2 Special Attack and 1 Special Defense EV’s, but charmander hasn’t killed many butterfree.

I'm not so sure about that I think in that timeline Dialga had actually persuaded Wartortle to move on and so he was going to ride him and fix the problems of the presents instead of going back in time to deal with missingno

Seeing people picking their favorite characters and sometimes changing them and/or reacting to the emotional scenes/decisions the characters make is fascinating. Every positive opinion is a wonderful thing to hear!
I love seeing people theorizing and trying to predict or interpret the crazy storyline Shipp is cooking up. A lot of the actors help write their own lines too when we’re recording too! Which makes it all-the-more impressive how Shippiddge smoothly weaves them all together.

Its so nice seeing the squad back together, it gives off mystery dungeon vibes and I love it!
literally every time a glitch/corruption has been inflicted, the one responsible has been squirtle. sure, charmander was the one who glitched hitmonchan out, but SQUIRTLE was the one who had concieved of that plan. the plan to take his pokeball and return hitmonchan while breaking the pokeball. And obviously, worturtle is responsible for corrupting the whole entire save file or even, possible, the whole game, by incorrectly loading the old save.
That is true. But it would kind of defeat the message of Squirtle/Wartortle’s whole character development. About how following orders or directions from someone doesn’t make those actions THEIR fault. It’s YOUR fault if you chose to listen to them, because you always have the choice not to.
So with that being said, it was still Charmander who corrupted Hitmonchan and started the whole Missingno mess. But Squirtle was very much still involved, of course.
@SKB-and-PlasticFred you're right. of course charmander is not exempt from the responsibility of having inflicted the glitche, but squirtle was also just as directly responsible. sure, squirtle sucks for having followed caterpie'e orders, but caterpie sucks just as much.

so let's assume that nidoqueen fight works like a double battle and the squad all got xp from it. They all have to be at least level 20 by now since they killed like 5 butterfree. At least 1 of them will evolve next episode.

Oh no the thing is the Butterfree got kidnapped by missigno or whatever that is. Pokemon captured by that glitch don't count as defeated they're just in a different dimension altogether
But killing all those metapods stuck on Nidoqueen had gotta given some levels man..
Depends, the Butterfree could all be level 10 and you can get Nidoqueen at level 16. I'd say it was still higher level than that, but not too high a level that when the xp gets split they still might not be over 15.
For real though, someone should have evolved after that... even if just Bulbasaur for shits and giggles.
The thing is, we don't know wether or not they ARE gaining EXP when they cheat, or Kill Pokemon.
EXP is earned by fainting an opponent in a nornal turn-based match.
Put it this way, would they really gain as much Pokemon Battle "EXPerience" by cheating or slaughtering pokemon? They aren't practising real Pokemon Combat, and therefore wouldn't be getting the same Combat EXPerience. It would be like giving a martial arts master a gun, to level up his skills faster by getting kills. They are practising the wrong thing. No Pokemon Battle Practise? No Pokemon Battle EXPERIENCE.
That's why Charmander has only gone up 7 Levels since the start of the show, despite having Hundreds of kills... Meanwhile, Squirtle Fought Fairly (Most of the time), by following "The Rules", and was able to reach Level 99 in one timeline.

rewatching the episode again im realizing what happened to wartortle when going back in time was that he was MEANT to be synced, he was meant to become his past self, but because he had to act out of squirtles actions back then before being entirely synced in order to save charmander (dialga said not to change any actions until entirely synced) he operates as a separate entity from the squirtle of the past, emerging from squirtle as a corrupted form of his future self
Now we just have to wait a silksong’s length of time for the next episode

I think that’s what was supposed to happen if done correctly, wartortle was just so desperate that he went out of sync to safe charmander, which resulted in wartortle being corrupted into missingno
Charmander isn't invincible in this universe, no literary invincible.
Who will be dragged or conquest
If anyone is confused, here’s an explanation
Dialga warned Wartortle not to act out of character when time was reversed because Charmander dying was a “cannon event” meaning in this case it HAD to happen for Squirtle to evolve into Wartortle. But Wartortle saving Charmander caused the timeline to break and Wartortle losing his purpose, causing him to glitch out of existence. This explains why Charmander almost died so many times in episode 11. The universe was trying to patch itself back up by making that cannon event happen. But since Wartortle kept on saving Charmander, there was a timeline split. This split caused entities like MissingNo to be unleashed and wreak havoc upon the land.
