Gotta love a 4WS Capra base on rails!
Hoping to get the esc tuning sorted soon so it feels/drives like butter
Amazing truck & incredible driving, very impressive 👍
Great terrain you have there sir
Very cool and beautiful crawler!🤩💥💯👍🌟🎉
Your builds are always SUPER clean and this one is no exception! 👌🏼
Thanks Zack
I built a gspeed and it climbed like crazy! See I added rear steer and what a turd it turned into. Seeing your truck climb has given me motivation to tune my truck.
I have only had one motor ever cog. Adjusted the motor timing and it went away. I believe I set it back to- 0. Super looking rig by the way! You'll get it tuned.
Also with Holmes motors, Sensord vs. sensorless setting may help with cogging. Had the same issue with my revolver.
If I may make suggestion about a video to make, it would be a how to tune your truck; that would be swell.
Curious to see if the gear mesh is a tad tight? I’m in no way an expert but just an observation on the whining sound but could also be the transmission. The Rhino sound be very smooth on startup so I’m sure some tuning would help with cogging issues. Great video 👍🏼
Im far from an expert and look forward to other responses but heres what i do. I typically run sin mode all the way up (25%) then tune startup power to the weight, gearing and motor torque (haven't gone over 120%). Still get a little cogging coming out of sin mode but it's a real narrow band of throttle so just a little more or less and it's gone.
Thanks for the heads up Phil. I spent a couple hours trying to clean it up and tune it unfortunately it's mainly the wild o.d. 36% overdrive that's giving me issues. I may get the mild gears to try it out, see if it gets any better.
@@DesertRockCrawler weird thing is the V40 in my mini capra has zero cogging.
😎😎👍👍
The cogging seems to be at startup so motor timing will have the greatest effect. Startup power will help when transitioning from sine to normal. My experience has been that small outrunners like a 2808 or 2812 need lots of gear reduction. If you can’t get down to around 70:1 you might want something bigger like a 2820 or larger stator.
