Excellent report, as always--So, Binnington is not the problem in STL, despite his declining numbers--the problem with the Blues is horrible defensive coverage, way too many odd man rushes, and breakaway chances given up, often leaving Binnington and Hofer hung out to dry--plus , they have limited offensive firepower, with Thomas out. Prayers go out to the Perron family, hope the child recovers and florishes. Good signing by the VGK, getting McNabb .who is a decent depth player, IMHO. Good idea to be cautious with Matthews, especially since it;s still early in the season. I feel bad for Robby Fabbri, having another knee surgery--he showed flashes of his talent when he was with the Blues, until he had his first knee surgery, he was the fastest player on their roster.
MTL can’t trade Dach unless the either get a forward back or a secondary trade for a forward occurs. Also, if you bring in Right handed Dman, then Baron is out packaged in that trade most probably.
I agree Habs need scoring, they arent getting it from Dach, not what they were expecting, they should have traded Anderson when he had a bunch of interest too, now they r gonna be stuck with them both.
@@toddlauretteHabsforlife dach's contract is movable. i'd wait a bit longer on him, to see if he picks his game up any. TDL or offseason move. at least wait until you see how he works with laine. anderson...they can probably move him i the offseason if they eat half and either send a pick or take back a 2-3m salary for a player who doesn't deserve it. a justin holl type. bring up roy and see if it sparks any offense. next year we'll have demidov. on jiricek...as a value proposition, habs probably come out ahead based on upside. but will he get there? i'd kinda like someone more experienced and defensive. and yes, barron would have to go, there's no room for him to stay.
Zegras would have to be a Bergeron level defensive player for Anaheim to be happy with the lack of offense. And Bergeron didn’t become Bergeron until he was scoring 60+ pts a year.
Montreal is not trading Dach. He is still getting back into game shape. He is young and can still find his way. Except for Dvoral, not clear that MTL has depth at forward to trade any of them. Lack of internal competition for ice time is one of the Habs issue.
Dubas signed CRAP Ryan Graves and now we will lose Marcus Pettersson while retaining SOFT GARBAGE in the form of Ryan Graves. Vancouver has a lot of prospects that are good if they want Pettersson. We'll see. Pettersson will be in demand with size and UFA status when the deadline comes up.
When STL was good Binnington looked great won a cup then they look bad Binnington looks bad but neither is true this is a TEAM game everyone works off of each other goalies are only as good as their team.Kuemper won the cup on COLO moves to Washington and nobody knows he existed. Dach I would trade him in a blink of an eye because I never liked him never wanted him never liked the trade and same goes for the stupid Newhook trade. Way too many wanna be hockey people talk about where a player is drafted but there is much more to look at than what some other manager does with his picks.
I agree, i also wish we had have went with Michkov or Leonard last year in the draft, but not a lot of Habs fans r with me on that, for some reason. Habs have lacked scoring FOREVER, and doesnt seem to be improving. Bottom of the league in goals for, and goals against, AGAIN. Is this what they meant by "in the mix"? Because it sucks! lol.

Please stop knocking on the jackets. I can’t deal with it any more.
LOL Zegras originally to the Habs and now Bruins, yeah okay.
Zegras would have to be a Bergeron level defensive player for Anaheim to be happy with the lack of offense. And Bergeron didn’t become Bergeron until he was scoring 60+ pts a year.
Pens should trade Rutger McGroarty to the Anaheim Ducks for Trevor Zegras. Rutger could play with Cutter.

We will never see Zegras egress! Okay i'm sorry!
I learned a new vocabulary word. Thanks.
we've seen zegras regress.

No thanks for Zegras to Bruins. Boston needs a top 6 right wing who can score and backcheck a little.
@@rherchenreder they need a top six power forward

Zegras is overrated trash
His own team refused to lock him up long term. They know it too.
Dach stinks. One of the few swings and misses by Gortughes.

Thats what im saying. We dont have great forward depth. And we always miss on them.
Dach has been a big disappointment. Habs should have went with michkov (6 goals and 7 assists) last year, instead of reinbacher.
