Been to Japan twice. Landed in Osaka if I recall on one of those trips. I was in Osaka, Japan to compete in a half marathon on one of those trips. Also got to see a bit of Tokyo and Shinjuku along with some other beautiful places. The people were very nice and crime was not as prevalent as you see here.
I just got back from Osaka, it was amazing! Make sure to go to Ichiran Ramen, it’s a small chain with tons of locations all over Osaka. It’s rated one of the best ramen in Japan, I could eat there everyday. I believe one huge bowl of ramen was about $3. Enjoy! Arigato Gozaimaaaasssss.
We did a video on this a couple years ago. Those homes are mostly functionally obsolete. They aren’t liveable. There are some good videos where people fixed them up, but they are in areas with no services, trains, etc.

Great video. Very typical of the places I've been to in Seoul and Tokyo. In the US, it's not legal to build small affordable places.

I would be happy in an apartment like that. But I'm also happy in US living alone in my 3 bed 1 bath house that I own free and clear.
