This is the greatest love story ever told. Why? Because every scene with the two of them in clearly means something. These two love each other beyond words. She even caused a paradox because she didn't want to kill him. He hounded her throughout the entirety of The Husbands of River Song to get her to realise who he was. He also finally went to Darillium, to spend those last 24 years - to let his beloved wife finally be at peace. It's so sweet. While it may be bittersweet, as we know it ends with River's death, and Ten not knowing who she was - It's the greatest love story ever told. It spans millions of years, three whole lifetimes, and so many planets in the entire of the universe. They do everything for each other. They do everything to see each other. Their love is beyond words. They know when the other is in trouble; when the other is in need of them. And it works because of those reasons. The one thing Moffat let itself tell. This ship - and fully fledged relationship - was allowed to sail on its own. And I will forever love it. Just as I will always believe in the Doctor, I will always love River Song and the Doctor. - LokiLaufeysonVII
So I've been driving and watching dr who fan vids. For 5 hours straight. This is the only one I've come back and commented on because it's really good. The song fits both characters, their relationship to each other and the overall tone of their really convoluted arc together. I'd make a few changes in editing pace and cut the dialogue you couldn't isolate from the music track. But otherwise it was really really good.
"They engineered a psychopath to kill you." ~ Tasha "Totally married her. I’d never have made it here alive without River Song." The Doctor The Doctor and River Song. The most monumental love story and tragedy, all in one. After all, not only did the Doctor know - and have to hide that he knew - how, when, and where she was going to die, they loved each other enough to be married, too. He was powerless to change her future, and she said, truthfully, that the day she looked into his eyes and he didn't recognize her would kill her. Imagine the pain they both carried, through _the entirety_ of their life together, as they did all they could to make sure the other did not feel that pain. There could be no more powerful love - and loss - than that. ❤️💔❤️💔
