Can't understand there are only 118k sub on marcus' channel, so much quality info and countless tips in these videos. Keep up Marcus, best fitness channel, no doubt 💪
Can u give us a substitute movement for your rowing machine work? Kinda hard to emulate @ home, maybe just more burpees. Thanks for your unique and interesting videos!
I've never done this 'quad' set before, but I always love doing side lunges in-between heavy deadlifts or squats as a hip opener. This workout is something I'll try! I'm going for PR deadlifts in a 6-week program from Mark Bell. From my understanding if the initial burst on the barbell off the floor is most difficult for me (i.e. lockout, holding bar close to body is easy), then I need to improve my Quad strength?
I gave this a go. On the last exercise I did the banded version as I train in my garage gym. After the 2nd set my quads were on fire. After the last set I just wanted to vomit. It was beautiful!
Love the exercises but have a torn meniscus in one knee and have only done beginner full body recently. Over 60yrs of age. Any suggestions, I know about disclaimers, would be welcomed. Have a blessed day.
As an additional alternative, I'm a big fan of the somersault squat which is similar to the banded version included here but instead of having to invert you can hold a kettlebell in between your legs. Rest your forearms on your thighs, pull yourself into a squat and then extend at the knees keeping the hips flexed at the top. Takes a little getting used to but once you get it it's easy set-up and will set your quads on fire.
@@marcusfilly I think I might have recommended them in another video of yours as an alt to the banded variation. Would love to hear what you think of them after you give them a spin
did you watch the variation I posted at the end that shows how you can do this with just one set of dumbbells and a band? you don't need to be that guy

I appreciate that!
It's up to 136K now, glad to see it.
I am hooked to the functional series and even after couple of months, each of these are still challenging and exciting at the same time.
Amazing to hear. Keep up the hard work!
I enjoyed your mission statement monologue. It encompasses why I exercise 5 of 7 days every week.
Great video/format! Really enjoying the Pillars track of Persist. This is gonna go in the toolbox for when I'm tight on time and/or low on equipment.

Great selection of exercises, Marcus! Thx! 💪👍👊

This is good stuff - thank you

Giving this a try today! Even though it’s technically rest day on the pump track :)
give it a try, but make sure to take your rest days!
F*****in awesome!

this made me laugh, so thank you
@@marcusfilly Anytime.
Where do you get your head bands that’s my fav color🎉🎉🎉🎉

On the leg extension, is there a benefit to holding the movement at the top? Thanks Marcus. Good stuff.
Holding a movement at the peak contraction point is just another way to ensure maximal tension and range of motion in the exercise.
another really helpful video! what brand of squat “wedge” do you use?
I use the one sold by @SLANTBOARDGUY
Recovering from a tibial head 🦴 fracture 8 months ago. I’m thankful to be able to kick my legs with your clever advise! Thank you
What about a dumbbell leg extension? Usually just put a DB between my feet and sit on my bench and do them that way

The second person to recommend this exercise. I'm looking forward to trying them out

Great video and content; where do you get your "chains?" Is Home Depot an option or do you get them from a fitness company?
Any tips for those without a leg extension machine?
Could u make a review on your whoop 4.0 ?
What about it would you like to know? I find that the 4.0 has been a nice upgrade from 3.0 with the hardware.
What's the name of the slant board your standing on?
Amaze-balls Filly... 👍🏾
Thanks Fred
are all Eleiko dumbbells all the same size?
Hi Marcus, what brand of shorts do you wear in your workouts?
Chubbies Shorts!
Can I use Ben Patrick's reverse nordic curl regression instead of knee extension?
Absolutely you can. Or do the band option i show
Where can I get that camo tank top
BYLT Basics
This is beautifull
Thank you!
do you train with sore muscles
it's important to focus on recovery just as much as your training!
@@marcusfilly Thanks a lot!
What kind of socks are those?
it's a great workout but kind of impossible to complete in a regular gym
Did you watch until the end where i explain how to do this with a single set of dumbbells and a band?
Great . But for this kind of workout plan you may need your own gym or be the asshole un the gym
did you watch the variation I posted at the end that shows how you can do this with just one set of dumbbells and a band? you don't need to be that guy
