Do not compare ferrari and mb. Look at mobile.de. Gullwing and roadster cost ca. 1.2-1.3 million euro. That´s it.

i just byu an old barn and there is one red color inside , need tire , good original paint , i install new batterie , engine turn but don't start , it's 1956 with clear title , in storage from 1989 , i don't know if there is any value if i want to sell it as is , no warranty
A 300 SL? They are worth a ton of money, they are one of the few cars worth restoring and coming out on top. If I was you, I would keep it. It is an almost unobtainable piece of automotive class and history..

I'm assuming you don't know what a 300SL Gullwing goes for? Have a look at: www.classicdriver.com/en/cars/mercedes-benz/300-sl-1954-1963?make=189&model=2999&search_type=advanced&page=1 It goes for more than a million dollars if it good condition. Even projects go for hundreds of thousands. I'd keep the car, get it running and enjoy it, but if you really want to sell it I'd suggest talking to some of the big auction houses wherever you are located. They have a huge consumer base, who have money to buy such a vehicle. You don't turn up at a dealer and trade in your 300SL Gullwing, because it's worth so damn much.
Conclusion: talk to a car value estimator or big car auction houses.
To add some information I found online:
Gullwings have sat near the top of the market for decades, and although it doesn’t look like it will change any time soon, the increases have certianly taken a breather for now. For a top example, expect to pay up to £1m, although you might be able to find an example in need of some restoration work for from £575,000-675,000. Some models may fetch more money if they have rare options fitted, and the 29 alloy-bodied versions are up to four times more expensive.
The Roadster versions were built in slightly higher numbers, and prices are slightly lower. Around £750,000 represents the top of the market, although more ordinary cars can be had for £275,000-£395,000. Projects start from £200,000.
Note: this applies to real 300SL Gullwings, not the lower spec models.

I have to say, these videos kind of annoy me, this is such a beautiful car -- I have watched so many videos about them now. I have a toy model of one that my grandfather gave to me years ago, and that's as close as i'll probably ever get to one. I just think along with the world being very boring today, its the same for cars -- they look so boring it makes me want to cry. Why can't cars be beautiful anymore?.

Can you tell me why many of the plates have an H at the end , on the plates? The first letters are the area or city area if I am correct . Is it due to age ( tax /insureance ) or are most of the cars shown , from the MB museum ?
The first car I ever drove in was a MB 280 SL from 1970 . 2 years before my legal age for a drivers license btw :) .

Yes, it's for oldtimers that meet all special criteria e.g. original motor and stuff and it gives them lower insurance costs. I think it also allows them to drive in areas where normally only cars with low emissions can drive.
