Please keep the videos coming! Not many people transition to natural (heat trained) this way. The assumption is that if you go natural, you will wear a curly/kinky style. After being relaxed for 40 years, I transitioned all the way without a big chop by pressing my hair every two weeks, and slowly trimming the relaxed hair every other month or so. I am 3 years post relaxer and I love my hair. 😊
I plan to make soooo many more videos! I’m hoping to get a camera soon to make content creation on YT easier. I do notice most ppl transition big chopping and only wearing it kinky too!
Hello dear! I have some questions to ask 😊 1- How often did you wash your hair when it was straightened? 2 - How often did you do root touch-ups on your hair? 3- Did you use a heat source in every wash, such as a dryer and straightener when it was relaxed? 4- What is your hair type 4a, 4b or 4c? 5- Which relaxation did you use Sodium Hydroxide or Calcium Hydroxide? I really like your content!
Hi! At the time I was doing like 6-8 weeks and washing every 10 days or so. I have 4a 4b hair and I can’t remember the name of the relaxer 😅. I’m sorry!
Yes, this has helped a lot. I am trying the same as well after being relaxed for 40 years! My hair only would grow at armpit length being relaxed. I would love to see how long my hair would grow becoming a heat trained natural, so now I have been transitioning for 6 months now with no heat . I am going the no HEAT method for now & wearing head band wigs. I wash every two weeks & wear 4 braids underneath. Managing the two textures is HARD ! I will try your method. :) Thanks, for your help.
No, I had it cut into a bob at neck length, I'm certainly not doing a BIG CHOP! I was just trying 2 let it grow a bit more. I will flat iron it again the end of the year & trim it again.
I love it!!! I've been trying to learn how to better use my round brush. It's a struggle, lol, but I'll get it eventually. Nicole Byers is so funny, I really like her. 💜
Hi Mari! Are you just seeing how long you can stretch? Or are you transitioning from relaxed to heat trained natural hair? I wasn't sure when I read your description box. TFS 🙂
@planetmari haha no worries! I just recently relaxed my hair after being natural for 11 years. Your videos have been a great help❤️ Now I'm just hoping I can get to your length🙆🏾♀️!
@@planetmari I had one with no heat setting and it caused immediate heat damage. Luckily I only did one section . Your hair is beautiful. Cheers to a smooth transition to heat trained hair

Did you have any heat damage pressing every 2 weeks?

You are so welcome! Are you waiting for it to cool down to start heat training?

Yay I love Nicole too! Yes the brush is something to get used too 😅

Hi! I’m trying out heat training my hair. Hopefully for good but we’ll see! I should have made that more clear in the description 😅.

Hi Mari, what relaxer do you use to relax your hair?
Hi! I haven’t had one in a while but I was using Affirm 😊
Hair goals 😍how often do you wash your hair/use heat ?
Usually once a week but currently I’m trying to go for every 2 weeks and just touch up my roots on the second week. 😊
Gorgeous! I’m 8 months post. I’m also going to give heat trained natural hair a go. I wash n flatiron once a wk. what temp do you flat iron with?
Thank you! I keep the big hot tools one on 410, but the mini one doesn’t have a heat setting 😅. No wonder it was so cheap 😭
