“Overwhelmed”
I feel like there’s so much to be unpacked visually (with the dancers and imagery), sonically (cause the song wise definitely produced this was for a reason- to further drive home the message of the song), and cognitively (because you really have to take a deep breath and think about what BTS is trying to tell us and show us)
It was such a stimulating experience that my excitement and anticipation for the album increased 1000 times fold 😂😂💜

you guys! Im telling you this comeback is the biggest thing i've ever seen. They are breaking the record already with album sales yeah, ALREADY and many more breaking records. They are giving 10 times more content, songs, empowering messages than before. all the theories, analysis, inspiring and powerful voices and messages and projects with artists all over the world, while giving them recognition. Noticed that it still refers to the shadow. They are controlling the swan, caged it, the swan tried to escape but the shadow follows him. In the end, it still the shadow whos races the swan to shine
I really can't believe this, each day i think they can't get deeper and better but here this is... I'm also really glad and proud that they are not just relying on their already enourmous popularity and doing different, artistic things like this 🙏🏻
I got chills when Uthman said "Self-limitations"! WOW...thats accurate coz they're interpreting his own shadows holding him back from flying😍

This prelude song is a confession that BTS delivers as an artist. The first English subtitle of art film is Martha Graham's saying, 'The dancer dies twice. The first death is when the dancer stops dancing.' "This death is much more painful." "Brack swan" was inspired by Martha Graham's sayings. As the dancer dies in his first death, as a dancer, when he is no longer on stage as an artist, BTS says that the more music I play through the 'brack swan', the more I'm going to die if the music doesn't impress me or tremble, but every time my voice is deep inside Paradoxically, the moment I hear the Black Swan inside me, I only have music. This is about deeply conveying the confession as an artist who has worn out and truly knows what music means to her through mature and autobiographical lyrics

MY ANSWER TO THE QUESTION OF THE DAY- "PURE ART"
Like honestly after experiencing this, it would be such a wrong thing to say that they are a typical kpop group or a typical boy band.
This, right here ladies and gentlemen, is PURE ART, AT ITS VERY FINEST.
Please do read the lyrics and look out for the meanings of the song. They are describing their fear of losing their passion for music as artists throughout this song, but at the very end, they realise that their love for music will always stay with them, because it is after all, the very reason why they feel alive.
Its a very short explain, but i am sure other ARMYs here will help explain it even better. All in all, they are showing their most raw and emotional side yet in this comeback for sure, and its one huge ride for sure🔥
P.S- bdw i was in the livestream you guys asked if the Spotify version is different since you guys listened to it on Apple music. All the audio versions of this song are the same. Its just the MV(or art film in this case) version of the song is different. I hope i cleared the confusion.

This resonates so much with their comeback trailer: SHADOW. Your shadow will always follow you & be part of you. Either you allow it to grow so big & let it swallow you whole OR make peace with yourself and accept that it's part of you. Depending on your decision, the shadow is there to drag you down or lift you up. This beautiful video piece was able to portray that through these amazing dancers...our inner conflict. 😱😭👍 BTS is showing their vulnerable side through this beautiful art performance piece...their fear of losing their passion for music and/or the fear of not being able to perform on stage....hence the quote at the beginning as well as the title: Black Swan. That's what I got from it. I can't with BTS anymore. They're showing us so much of their vulnerable side as artists. They're completely on a whole different level in terms of their music and creativity yet takes ARMY to a whole new level through art & dance. 😱😭👍💙 #ARMYsince2014

I've loved "Swan lake" for many years now and having it combined wth BTS is ART!! I literally freaked out!!
Well for me, when it comes to BTS, I watch the video itself (and absorb the music) the first time. Then I watch it with the subs (and further absorb the music). 💜💜
I think doing this not only gives your brain a chance to absorb the most it can (without wasting time being confused btw reading and watching) but allows you to further understand and connect the lyrics to the imagery.

Im very happy how much BTS transcends art itself.
For me, the 6 other people who wore black clothes were the shadows of the half naked dancer who represents the Black Swan. At first, the Swan was trying to run away from his shadows (as we all know, Shadow represents our negative traits and emotions that we want to repress). As you see, the Swan was fighting his Shadow because he doesn't want to show it(his weaknesses) and maintain his persona but as the song progress he slowly realized that the Shadow was a part of himself and by admitting it he was able to finally set himself free, soar high and fly.
The first time I listened to this I couldn’t focus on the song properly so I didn’t know what to think, but now I AM OBSESSED with it. (I recommend you listen to the audio version too)

emotional. This song and dance really made me miss dancing. The quote by Martha Graham is incredibly true and not only for dancers but for all true artists. I definitely started crying when I watched this the first time. Anyway, you should definitely watch it again paying deep attention to the lyrics and again paying deep attention to the dance. If you look up like a summary of the story of the black swan (there's also a movie) and swan lake (a ballet dance) this makes a lot more sense. AND (sorry I'm talking so much) there's a Spotify version that's more trap/boppy which is a must. Ok I'll shut up now. I purple you byee!!

Black Swan is about losing your passion or the fear of losing it. And the boys are talking about how they fear they could lose their love for music at some point (or already have) and that they're doing it just for us and not themselves anymore (first part of performance) but that they've found themselves again cuz they only have their music and coming back to it afterall (after performers went downstairs and Yoongis part about the studio)

The reason why we can’t distinguish their vocals is because of the auto-tune and they layered each of their vocals as one. This is raw and personal for them. They telling us their struggles and their stories from 7 person but as 1 person together. That’s why they layered it like that. Black Swan is BTS, Black Swan is 7.
