Babul sang really well although at a slower tempo, obviously to allow this immortal but difficult song to remain within his control. It shows once again that Kishore Kumar was a genius of the highest order and no one, no one, would come ever near him. He's the God....

Actually it's harder to maintain pitch and rhythm with slower tempo. Maybe helps with better enunciation.

Aneek Sarkar He is my favorite music composer although i understand very few hindi words. Its unfortunate that he didnt get the recognition which he really deserves when he was alive, only posthumously. Although im a srilankan, i have been listening to hindi songs since my childhood due to my parents. I realized almost 90% of my favorites have been composed by him only few years ago, but by then Panchamda was no longer with us. And since then im a devotee of the Boss! ;-). These days im really fascinated about his background music and title music, more than his songs by the way.
Well Manoj Dissa Sir...Same for me also..I am also listening his songs from my childhood ....He is still so Popular among the young generation for his Immortal Tunes...All Artists of India was Inspired by Pancham Da in someway ....Pancham Da was beyond all greats those who came before him & there will be no one after him...

Supriyo Gupta ji although i m not Bengali but whatever you have said about Babul Supriyo i have no issue with it but instead of calling Bengali national it could have been wise if you have used the word Bengal state or Bengal province instead of Bengali national because Bengal is provincial state of india & not as an independent Bengal nation.i hope you get my point.
