Not really sure James Corden ever represented British comedy. He was a chat show host. I’m not really sure how well British comedy exports to the US anyway. We tend to be self-deprecating, absurdist and use word play, whilst Americans lean more towards insults and denigrating people as a form of ‘comedy’.
I love how Jimmy can pivot from mocking someone for their doctorate to providing a genuine pep talk to a young man struggling with loneliness.
He's a twat when it's suitable, but also a supportive ally when needed.
He tears down people that can take it but uplifts those that need it. He's great!

Second Responder here! We're people like hazmat technicians, chemical responders, drug lab technicians, etc. Hahaha, shoutout to the unsung heroes! We don't USUALLY put our life directly on the line, but we OFTEN work in life threatening environments. That man just wanted a small sliver of recognition.
