Great tour of my favorite park! A couple tidbits of food advice to share for people who peruse the comments:
    1. Oola bowls are incredibly good. On a hot summer day when you want to eat something that won't make you feel terrible, fruit and sherbet with delicious toppings is a great bet, and the price is reasonable too.
    2. The Chocolatier is great, highly recommend, but you absolutely need a reservation for a table. They're booked solid all summer. However, if you're traveling in a small group and don't mind sitting at a bar, the bar is first come first serve and you can still order from the same food menu. Never hurts to walk upstairs and see if there's a couple stools open.
    3. The fast-fill stations all have filtered water taps that are free (no scan required). The water tastes better and is much colder than the fountains near the restrooms.
    4. Alex is right about Spring Creek Smokehouse. Definitely give it a try. The meats are good but not the best I've had, but the sides are surprisingly excellent. Like, 8-9 out of 10.

grew up here. Been to a bunch all over the East Coast-my parents were roller coaster junkies. Still think this is better than say, Busch Gardens. Kings Dominion was a close second. Liked all the coasters in all the Six Flags I was in. Bringing the 5th generation to this park now. Grandma gets her buggy and away we go!

Thank you for such an amazing tour of Hershey Park! I used to live there and my parents took my siblings and I and our friends a couple of times. It was so much fun! I remembered it being much more colorful for some reason and the characters who were dressed like different Hershey items were walking about. I was surprised I didn't see any walking around as guests were enjoying the park, but when I had visited it was in the 90's. I really appreciate your attention to detail and all of your additional information. I've lived in Florida since 1997 and have never been back, but this brought me right back. Thanks again! 😊❤

I grew up within 10 miles of here. I was taken to Hershey Park in the 1960's when it used the ticket system per ride. Because we lived close, we were there a lot. Plus, my parents loved the Comet. There was an actual zoo that you could walk along the sidewalk and see. (That had to go because of the '72 flood.) I remember several of these rides being a big deal. Sooper Dooper Looper...even had t-shirt saying I rode it. The Coal Cracker going in was a big deal, too. Kissing Tower was so cool when it debuted-it still is. All the newer coasters coming in. Watching the old water rides turning into Boardwalk was also a biggie. I could go on and on but I wanted to really say down by the Trailblazer where the Haunted House is used to be a petting zoo in the 70's. And there was a baby elephant that was so cute. His name was Albert. Just like my grandpa! (Who usually went there with us.)

Surprised by the lack of theming. It’s just a Six Flags. So many of the rides are the same that come with traveling carnivals. I’d expected more themed dark rides, lamps that look like Hersheys kisses, teacups that look like Reese’s cups, etc. Does it at least smell like chocolate? Without entertainment or anything unique to set it apart from county fairs it doesn’t seem worth the trip. And I can’t believe milkshakes are almost $20! Great for roller coaster enthusiasts; not for families with kids, or me.

There are a lot of rides that you barely leave the ground and you will fit and not be afraid. I was a chubby chic my whole life and understand the thought of people laughing at you. If you can learn to laugh with them when they laugh (yes it sometimes hurts) it does help. Shake your head and smile. When you are away from the crowd, get it out. Even in a bathroom.
