Frank, I don't know if you noticed the design of the auditorium. The stage Dimash is singing on is a tongue while the arches on the big stage behind him form a throat opening and the sides of the auditorium represent the inside of the mouth. The incredible thing is that the art of the auditorium has to be acoustically perfect, a marriage of caricature art and acoustics. This stage and the theater must have been designed by a genius engineer who was able to create an environmental experience complete with 3D projections. I would love to visit that theater and talk to the engineers behind it. It is completely state of the arts in every direction. Review your video again and try to pull apart the elements of what all is happening. The production values are extraordinary. Russia has long been known, since their liberation, for extraordinary theatre productions but still on a grand stage. China has turned the stage into a completely new art form. I hope you will be surprised when you take a second look at the stage. A magnificient stage with a magnificient singer in a magnificient production. I did not have a problem with his performance, as a matter of fact it was fun watching him singing and dancing. I give him a big thumbs up knowing that English is not his primary language but yet he learns to sing in English very fast in a week's time. Please listen to Uptown Funk and you will be the judge.
