Thank you so much for clarity...Well I think pathways are much more difficult now and under the green list it has become a catch 22 / chicken and egg story. Immigrants sitting overseas how they can be registered professional, which almost takes 6-8 months for any professional IN the country and THEN find an accredited employer who's willing to match job profile and pay overseas immigrants? And it's too much of an expectation from an ailing employer whose business is already not doing well and asking him to sponsor an immigrant?? Next to impossible! This green list is basically a full stop on immigration and for small business owners. NZ Big companies already don't need it as they have offshore branches!
I have been following you here and FB too. You are crisp, clear and critical in your analysis or comments. That's what is required.

Thanks for your comments. We agree that the immigration policy is much less migrant friendly than it has been in the past. Our governments trying to only attract the best, but in doing so they are risking making New Zealand a less attractive destination for everyone.

Exactly what you said undercutting wages that could be going to New Zealanders that's what they have been doing for years especially in minimum wage unskilled jobs. Taking jobs off kiwis or kiwis having to compete with migrants for jobs is totally unfair and should be stopped. Many kiwis unemployed and should be given jobs and prioritised over migrants but there are loop holes in the law where employers are exploiting these loop holes. . Good thing Jacinda Adern has created an Employment accreditation registration so the loop hole exploitation is stopped.

What about the IT jobs that are not mentioned in the green list like software testing and automation and more like that? They were mentioned in previous lists but if this will replace those lists then is it safe to say that there is no change for professionals in those specialization.
