Managed to fix this by removing the pin and pulling the lever back, then tilting the stem down towards the deck just enough to slide two zip ties ( as shims ) down the crack RIGHT ABOVE where the pin slides into the hole, then pushed the stem back up and locked them back into place with the lever and pin. no more wobble.
@@highdesertbiker Just above the pin, right where black meets red, you can slip a few long zip ties down between the gap ( if you unlock the stem and tilt it back ) I can try and get a picture, but I'm not sure how youtube handles links. edit: i.imgur.com/H1AuqAS.jpg
@@d4rkloler Hey thanks for checking in! Nah no updates unfortunately. I can tell that the sound is not coming from the locking mechanism it seems to be from the big bolt in the middle. I wanted to see if I can tighten this but it has some giant Allen wrench slot and voro said not to mess with it.
Dude you are an absolute lifesaver. Got mine the other day and it had this issue out of the box. I spent hours adjusting the barrel nut as tight as possible, trying to tighten the kicking nut. Talked to some other RUclipsrs and reached out to Voro. They're sending me a new locking pin but I doubt that's going to help... then I stumbled across your comment. Didn't fully understand what you meant til I saw the pic but then it clicked. I went and tried it and bam, no more wobble. I'm just trying to figure out a more permanent solution so I don't have to place them every time I fold and unfold it. But still, kudos to you man thank you!
Okay so i just got a king GT after about 50kms of riding same issue. i checked all the things that i thought and one thing that helped my knocking sound is tightening the bold under the front fender (Directly in the middle of the under side of the front fender). there is a large allen key bolt that i assume holds a lot of the force on the front end. Please try tightening yours and let me know if it helps the sound. i can get a photo if need be.
Had a similar issue, I took apart the folding mechanism and the bolt that goes through the hinge was snapped in the middle. I had to order another one of those red latch pieces, and new bolts, but fixed no problem
Nope I did not and after sending it back to voro they did not figure it out. They said it was "normal". But that's after I sent a video to Kaabo, and they said there was a problem
@@highdesertbiker so even with that noise you been riding it,and has it got worse or has it been riding good besides the noise. Where do you live? Do you have a mini motors near you or a scooter repair shop
Same same! Exactly the same on my damn Wolf!🤬🙄 over the weekend it popped out on me twice! Luckily the bolt was there to hold it together otherwise it could have been all bad!🤕
Yoooo bro i didnt realize you said this! holy fuck , I was warned by another youtuber about the wolf stem before i bought it I should have listened...Are u still enjoying the wolf or u thinking about another scoot?
@@highdesertbiker my Wolf has been fine. Luckily I have a PEV shop out here that works on them. And they got me back in tiptop shape. While I was waiting for it in the shop I made an impulse buy and pre-order the Dualtron Thunder 2! It’ll be here in 2 months. The Wolf is getting sold as soon as it arrives!🤘🏽😅
Great video. I was wondering if your scooter horn goes off when you mach the throttle especially in dual motor as mine goes off most of the time and it's annoying
According to voro motors after they checked it they said that this wasn't actually a problem, they said some of the scooters have play. They tightened a couple bolts but it kind of still has the same noise
There’s another video explaining how to fix that two hex bolts on either side of the locking mechanism one is hidden , one is visible left and right side tighten up both should be good
@@highdesertbiker I think if you turned the nut that almost scrapes the fender in a couple turns while folded then gently try and lock it again unfolded and see if it takes out the slack. the horn of the neck needs to bottom out to the frame
I completely agree with you! I went back and forth with voro motors to the point where I almost lost my mind. I do customer service for a living So usually stuff like this is no problem. In this case I have over 50 emails and probably 10 plus phone conversations, I adamantly ask for a refund I talked to the highest possible person I could multiple times and they would not give me one. Even though both boro motors and Kaabo agreed there is something wrong. I don't know what else to do! This went on for months, I sent it in and they said their technicians looked it over and nothing was wrong! Do you have any suggestions? At this point it's been about a year and I've given up.
@@mynameisjeff. Well the thing is I did not fix it but I sent it to boro motors and they said that there was no problem. So technically I guess it's not fixed in my eyes but they said it is so I just didn't change the title
So the scooter gets sent back and nothing is done to fix this problem for you? No solutions offered? It’s basically here’s your broken scooter back. Enjoy. That’s the worst customer service I’ve ever heard of.
That's exactly what happened. I spoke to Kaabo and I think had 50+ emails back and forth with Voromotors. They said "oh yah this is definitely broken" I send it in. They send it back 3 weeks later and say nothing is wrong.
@@highdesertbiker I just had an issue with Kaabo USA. Ordered the stem for the tire that is used to put air in the tire. Mine had a small tear in it. One week later and it still wasn’t shipped. Sent a few emails. Was promised it would be out in a few days. One week later, still not shipped. Two weekends in a row with no scooter. Finally found a similar replacement on Amazon. I seriously think that my next scooter will not be a Kaabo.

Further more, the bolt on the top as well. Allen key in both top and bottom and tighten. Top bolt you zoom in on at 0:31

CHECK YOUR STEM BEARINGS
might sound extreme but i say either weld or bolt brackets from the suspension to the chassis
